I go to Wembley Central tube station, and have a few drinks there rather than nearer the ground. Was somewhat alarmed at the weekend to find Barretts pub closed down. Flannery's was pretty good for a pre and post match pint or three though.

As my original post made pretty clear, I am seeking somewhere else to drink.

And I am aware of the landlord's rights in the matter. The surpirse comes from him suddenly choosing to exercise said rights after not doing so for many years. Is that so difficult to understand?

Went to Whitby today and went and sat in a cafe in the old town. Was absolutely disgusted when they moved us on for eating our own sandwiches and drinking our own coffee.

I shall be writing a strongly worded letter of complaint.

Had you been going to the cafe and stadning outside drinking your own beer for over a decade without any complaints?

The ability on this board of certain posters to deliberately mis-represent a comment in order to try and start an argument is ridiculous.

I share you frustrations about the board but what frustrates me is when someone posts a differing opinion people tend to cry and whinge rather than justify their opinion.

No. The reluctance to answer my original post is what's annoying me. Instead, it's descended into the usual rubbish.

Never mind what I expected in the Torch car park, I should have expected what happened on here, given how far the borad's fallen over the last few years.

I have no idea about alternative venues that will allow you to use their property to consume your own food and drinks in and around Wembley.

There are plenty of pubs around London who will be happy to serve you if you so wish.

I doubt many, if any would be welcoming you into their car park with your cans bought off the premises.

So, in short it looks like a bottle of white lightening in one of the many parks.

We were sat in the beer garden of The Green Man with a crate of Tuborg that we’d bought from Asda round the corner.

You see I didn't believe you when you first asked the question, but you're serious aren't you - you seriously want to know if anyone knows of an alternative pub or hotel where they let you take your own stash of alcohol to drink on their premises

I went into a very pleasant pub in Baker Street pre and post match where I bumped into a couple of Southstander posters.

I had the decency to purchase their drink and food (reasonably priced - for the smoke) in return for their hospitality.

I am not a whino, in both senses of the word.

Two lawyers go in to a restaurant, get their sandwiches out and start eating them. The owner shouts across "Oi! Can't you read? That sign says you can't eat your own food in here!" So the lawyers swap sandwiches and carry on eating.

Don't know what your problem is regarding drinking at the Torch. As long as you stand outside of the wall on the path you can enjoy a beer a few quite happily with whoever you happen to bump into , whether Leeds or other teams fans.
I , and many of fellow Leeds fans were there as usual , at the top entrance to the pub garden.
Be there next year and you'll be more than welcome to join us.
