Hate Friday night games, Wakey's game day is a Sunday afternoon. What power Sky have.

Think your self lucky-I have 2 flight tickets to Catalan going out Thur returning Sun afternoon for the Quins game. Sky have now decided to move the game to sun night.

Wakey's game day maybe Sunday afternoon, so why have Leeds been regular Friday night visitors to Belle Vue since 2001 wether the game has been on SKY or not?

Because we always roll over and have our tummy's tickled and do what ever Leeds want.

Not really affected by this one as my working week is Sunday to Thursday (nights) I note with interest that Eddie et al havent mentioned or apologised to the Quins fans who have stumped up money to go to France only for Sky to change the fixture time. I have emailed boots and all but havent yet heard anything from it. Have the Quins made a statement on this?

As a sport we dont want to sell out to the Sky pound. Yes, the tv money is useful but the fans surely must come first!

We sold our soul to Sky 13 years ago, hence the reason we now have a summer sport.

The quins issue is very different to this one though simply because of the cost implications for the fans who had booked and paid for their trips - I am sure I read that the RFL are going to make sure that doesn't happen again.

However, with this game fans know that games will be changed throughout the season for sky. Sky wanting to wait until a few weeks before the game is understandable to me that way they can pick the games that are more likely to be entertaining contests - and therefore a better advert for our game - as frustrating as it can be when fixtures are changed unfortunately we do need sky and their money in the game and as a result we have to accept that games will get changed in order to accommodate this.

For those at Castleford you may have an alternative view to summer sport!!

I thought that made it very clear that I do not agree with games v Catalan being moved for sky really!

The fans will turn up irrespective of the fixture day. That's why Leeds switched to Friday nights - tell the gullible supporters its all for their convenience often enough and they'll believe it, when in reality its simply that they learned from the Tykes the value of corporate attendees - who would attend Friday but not Sunday.

Take away Sky's tv money and what do you replace it with? Which channel/company would give similar quality and breadth of coverage? Where would the money come from - several thousand fans who'll suddenly start attending every club's games because they can feel secure the date of a game might not be altered once in a blue moon despite there no longer being any decent national tv profile for the sport?

Percy is right. Sky have long since 'owned' RL and whilst I'd happilly see games on Sunday afternoons, in winter, preferably with a restored 5m rule - it'll not happen because Sky call the shots and pay the bills.

Its more than useful.

Its the only reason that the sport exists.
