In a slog like that you want all your forwards however for the majority of the game we only had 1 player on the bench. Bailey, Delaney and Hardaker likely wont play next week either.

As a Cas fan I'd like to see the Chase tackle on Hardaker if only to laugh myself silly at how good the hit was for a half back

Don't agree with the "they wanted it more than us" rubbish. Cas forced some errors late in the game on the back of some great kicks and pinned us in our own 20. To say drop Kirke because he lost possession a couple of times is pathetic. Our ball control was poor due to the weather and practically every player seemed to drop the ball at some point. We were down to 2 subs from the first half and fatigue may have contributed to Cas finishing the stronger and well done to them for taking there chances at the end.
Regarding Chase, he should have walked for running in and punching a player from behind. A cowardly act. I didn't get a good enough view of the Hardaker tackle to comment.

If you fly in with a forearm to the face then it doesn't matter if you're a halfback you're still going to spark someone.

Maybe next weekend you should have those belts with tags on them. As Clive Dunn used to say "they dont like it up em Mr Mainwaring".

Hopefully Chase will get the same hits on him at some stage and Roby should be dropped from the officials list at least until he watches the game properly but that doesn't detract that we had too many players that had off days with the ball and Cas desreved the win in the end.
On the plus side i thought Mcguire ,Mcshane and Peacock were very good and hopefully the injuries aren't long term.

Meh! Haven't you seen the script. Cas win their Cup Final, Huddersfield celebrate being top prior to the Big Bang around August, we lose the CC final, Wigan and Wire fight out the LLS and it all comes good in October. You can't finish 5th if you win all your matches. Don't panic. Now 3 back-to-back title wins from 5th sounds like a challenge.

Calling anything involving Rangi Chase a tackle is probably pushing it. If the shoulder charge was banned he'd have spent this season just waving people on through.

One of the best games I have seen for a long time (not difficult given our season last year!). Would agree that the referee was poor, but poor for both teams I think. I think Leeds conceded 7 penalties before their 'team warning' wheras Cas conceded 3, which seemed a bit inconsistent. However, knowing they were on a warning, conceding another penalty was stupid. I was sat right in line with the Chase tackle, and I couldn't tell where the contact was. However, I don't like his 'forearm' technique and if the contact was on the head, he will be deservedly banned. I though Cas were more aggressive in defence, which is probably where the game was won (although it didn't help Leeds that Delaney, Bailey and then Hardaker had to leave injured).

And this my friends is why the play offs should be top 5 not top 8.

How would a 5 team play off series work may i ask?
