| These stats are missing 2 catergories...
1) HMODBK
and
2) HMLSPDBAKHBW
Work them out, I may watch the game back to see for myself and get back to you. Oh, and just to give you a helping hand... the "B" stands for Burrow.

| Quote ="tvoc"Discussing performance isn't tiresome. Discussing Leeds CEO's past decisions and posters viewpoints of those calls at the time much less so, especially when the discussions have been rehashed several times previously.

Indeed so I wonder why you felt the need to bring it up when I commented upon Broughton's relatively poor performance against us?
Quote Who was it that found Broughton's performance V Wigan worthy of comment '" Erm, IIRC it was you. You commented about how he chased back and nearly saved a try. I commented "whoop de doo".
Quote (it weren't me as I hadn't seen the game), the interest appeared to wane once the stats were produced.'" If you made no comment on Broughton's performance against WIgan who produced those stats and what are you doing now? Quote Another impressive set at the weekend. Of course without full footage the stats are only ever indicative of a good performance rather than proof of one.'" Quite. You've answered your own question, btw, about your production of the stats from Broughton's display against Wigan.

| Quote ="batleyrhino"Buderus and Watkins both missed 4 tackles which some might say tells one story about the hookers poor tackling. When you take into account that Buderus made the most tackles of any Leeds player on the night (2icon_cool.gif including at least one where he prevented a try by holding the Saints player up over the line, and that he had a period off the field, then it puts a slightly different slant on things.
Still those with agendas will see what they want to see I suppose...'"
One might expect a hooker to make more tackles than a centre wouldn't one?
If one simply comments that Buderus has missed the same amount of tackles as Watkins it's hardly an agenda. Merely stating a fact. That someone might want to mitigate Buderus' misses without doing the same for Watkins is a clear sign of agenda. Hero worship one might say.

I never said I made no comment now did I? I responded to your post. It's what we tend to do around here, similar to holding a conversation only (on our own terms) and without the awkward pauses. The important part surely here is who brings us back to the ex-Leeds starlet? The first mention I can recall of Broughton this season was from you with your 'PS' on a completely unrelated topic as linked to above and then shortly after there was the : 'hey Gaddafi' post here, viewtopic.php?f=17&t=485957&p=15929664 where at least you were candid enough to flag up your intention in advance.
If you know of an earlier exchange (this season and preferably one I actually instigated) then perhaps you'll provide the link to it.

You can see the difference I assume? You did find Broughton's performance worthy of comment, you appear to continue to do so. I never claimed you were the first one to comment upon it. That seems to be a new qualification you've introduced.
For a subject you apparantly tire of when your opinion is challenged (I don't claim to tire of it) you;re posting about it an awful lot.

There is no movement of any significance from me here.
You commented first re Broughton this season (to end a response to one of my posts, on a completely unconnected reply I made and on an unconnected topic) to which ( =#FF0000and only to which) I responded. Did you think for one mili-second I would be so discourteous as to ignore you? I thought we had an understanding.

Yet only it appears in response to you. I don't tire of discussing RL generally, only dim and distant past decisions the Leeds club made when they've been covered repeatedly and in depth many, many times before.

You're welcome. 'On that thread' being the relevant observation. Without =#FF0000your interest in Broughton I'd have remained blissfully unaware at just how consistently impressive his 'go forward/involvement' remains.

Right, I got the first one to be "How Many Owls Does Burrow Keep?". I've watched it back and it doesn't say.
The second one was much trickier but I eventually I got that it was obviously "How Many Leeds Senior Players Do Burrow And Keith Have Blowouts With?". I've watched it carefully. I wouldn't want to give you an exact number in case the cameras missed a few but Robbie gets pretty angry with someone at one point so it's at least 1!

Let me clarify the hidden agenda for you. I'll come out in the open.
When I said "Buderus has missed 4 tackles"
What I really meant was
"Buderus has missed 4 tackles"
Appalling heresy I know. I do apologise. The next time I observe Buderus missed tackle count, error count, or penalties conceded (goodness forbid he would ever do these things) I will qualify the statement with glowing, loving reference to the wonderful things he does to ensure nobody could ever misconstrue a comment they Buderus has missed 4 tackles as being negative.

Almost, no animals involved though.
OK, Ill tell you...
1) How many overlaps did Burrow kill
&
2) How many looping slow passes did Burrow attempt to kill his outside backs with
Both of these are important stats and I reckon both are pushing double figures every game.

For someone who only last week claimed 'not to be concerned with stats' or some such similar sentiment you appear to be placing a lot of emphasis on one of them this week. Stats are all well and good but certain stats (such as missed tackles) don't give anything more than a basic overall indication without referencing them to actual plays within the game. It's why, like you, I don't rely on them too much.
Here's my opening contribution to the crucially significant 'Buderus missed a tackle or four' discussion: 62nd minute, Lauitiiti and Buderus both in turn missed a tackle on Lomax which cost Leeds approximately two meters of territory close to their own line. Despite Lomax being missed he was stopped short of the line to no real discernable detriment to the defensive play thanks to Sinfield and Webb who layed on to slow the resultant play the ball. The defence was re-set and had the numbers to deal with the following St Helens play down their left flank. However Meli scores easily on Watkins outside shoulder as the Leeds man is caught 'ball watching' rather than numbering up on his man defensively.
Purely as an accompanying observation, 123 seconds before the Meli try Leeds were in the lead, in possesion and attacking in the St Helens half before a brain-fart moment by a Leeds player arguably changed the momentum of the match.

I don't have the benefit of the game on SKy+ any more.
As I am stranded at home recovering from a bout of gout I might have watched it again with a pen and paper as you appear to have. Instead. I shall have to retreat to the settee with Bacon, Sarnie, Coffee, packet of ginger biscuits and the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
