| Hall did alright given the lack of quality ball he got. It was about time Charnley managed to escape from Hall's pocket afterbeing trapped in there for almost 12 months

But very very true you have avery long way to go as I said you will win nowt this year as usual, the teams ok when on top but soon as pressure comes on the the team then revert to just not loosing instead of going on to finish a side off, as I said earlier dominent as you were tonite you couldnt finish us off even with only 14 and half fit players a rerality check in only around the corner for ur team, every game you win ur one closer to defeat itsa only a matter of time

We had 2 who went off aswell. Every team who play are one game closer to defeat surely???? No true, we couldn't finish you off, but only due to bombed chances rather than not be able to create any opportunities.
We do have a way to go and have seen Leeds as a blue print of how to be successful for ages. It's only the last 2 years were we have had the strength in youth to make this work rather than buying in slightly past it players, for the first time since 05, 06 we have a decent strength in depth and mixing our own talent with a few cherry picked players to finish off the team.
I think we have been due this form all season, but been hampered by not having key players available. I think we have turned a corner and hopefully can be challenging with your lot in the top 4 regularly now. I think our youngsters are showing more promise than yours at the moment which is good for us and SuperLeague.
Hopefully see you in the playoffs.

| A terrible night allround, especially with the the two injuries ,as for delaney the lads still not right send him on holiday and let him regain his strength . Thought in the first half we seemed to be suffering from the Wigan game, although prior to the injuries we did not seem to have any cutting edge or game plan to breach the hull line.
You have to give the lads credit for the second half performance , at least they did not throw the towel in.
As I have commented before the balance of the team is not right, burrow tries his best but at the moment some of our threequarters are receiving the ball stood still.
At the moment we are out of luck, as shown by some of the refereeing fifty -fifty calls going the wrong way. Yes I know it did not affect the result but two penalties against us at the play the ball were poor.
It's not much fun at the moment, especially when you read some of the drivel on the hull site, you would think they had won the grand final and the challenge cup. I think Vickery has had enough stick without me adding to it, on the plus side Hardaker is developing into a superb full back. We should support the lads and pray we don't pick up any more injuries .

| Sure we may get over excited in winning 9 of our last 10 ,but your forgetting we had Agar for 4 years so we will milk every victory we get. Last week proved you can still play at the top, I expect Leeds to finish strongly.

| Best team won no doubts but we did ourselves no favours again.
The amount of stupid penalties we give away is getting ridiculous we know how the Refs are calling the ptb pretty early in games yet we continue with the brain farts!!
Defensively 1st half we were p!$$ ,no solid line and woeful communication.
2nd half i thought the lads dug in after losing Mags and Watkins plus Delaney playing at 50% but again we have to be careful we don't finish his career at 27.
I thought the younger lads did ok again but it's obvious we have far too many experienced and better players ot of form and even with injuries maybe its time to sit a couple in the stands.

Briscoe took a knock early in the 1st half and really should have come off but stayed on as we had no real way of replacing him

| for me we have real problems in the forwards. kylie is showing his age, burrow looked far better at 7 playing wider of the ruck, clarkson is another jay pitts. good squad player but nothing more. delaney apart, and he is nowhere near fit, there is no grunt, no go forward. it says a lot when your best forward by miles is ian kirke!

| The last month has showed what most knew Leeds were over achieving up to this point, their form in May is no worse than it was in March and April. The performance against Wigan was their best of the year by a distance.
Look at the attacking structure of Hull and how deep they stand and the use of dummy runners - compare that to the flat predictable structure Leeds have and have had all year.
I am unsure what McDermott does in training but it doesn't seem to involve attacking options - could be the key players are too long in the tooth to adapt?
I understand all this coming through adversity and that making you stronger but his selection criteria need to be addressed. All three pivotal halves look shot, Burrow at hooker does not work he is too slow, his passing is terrible and his instinct to run with the ball is killing the attack. With his speed in decline McGuire is struggling to make any impact in most games. Sinfield looks a shadow of the player he once was - he is now so slow that even mediocre defences have got his measure. JJB showed once again what a liability he has become - he missed the tackle on Lineham for one try and he went walkabout - not for the first time this season - for Houghton's try. Add to that the penalties he gave away yet again - you want your senior players to lead by example not make schoolboy errors. Moon is showing why he was at Salford and disgarded by Brisbane - his lack of effort in chasing back when Lineham caught the high ball is simply unaaceptable. McDermott will continue to pick his favourites no matter how bad they play, will he send JJB or Clarkson to Hunslet like he has Achurch and Moore? As for Delanney if he were a dog McDermott would be reported to the RSPCA, it is a disgrace the way coach has treated him.
The lack of depth of quality in the squad is being exposed if Vickery can get a game then the youth development team need to answer some questions as to what is going on. GH seems content - this is after all the "The best squad he has ever assembled" he must be happy he keeps re-signing them, maybe more about how cheap he is getting them!!
On a positive Singleton and Sutcliffe showed up well and Leeds have two easy games coming up to regain some confidence before the visit to Huddersfield. Should be an interesting June/July.

| Too many people are getting worked up again on here.ok,not the greatest result but we have had a real tough run of games and this was always a chance of happening.the saints result was the missed opportunity imo,we should have got the two really.wigan and hull away always looked like defeats so no drama from me.
Some more winable games coming now and we still have a great chance of a second or third placed finish. The key for us now is making sure we get our key players back fit in good time before the real stuff starts in september.

Find myself agreeing with you Sal.
I said before the Saints game Leeds were on the edge of a performance cliff, anything less then their absolute strongest team playing at it's full potential would result in defeat. Unfortunately this seems to be the case.
We are completely shambolic with attacking ball. I would not wish an injury on any player but McGuire's was almost merciful, I've never seen him play so poorly.
Burrow starting at 9 is not bloody working. He distributes the ball poorly and he has not the size or strength to mix it up in the middle like McShane has. But that's just a small thing, as is the hopeless Vickery (really, running back towards your try line when taking the ball out?) and our inability to produce a back good enough to replace him from the juniors.
Other worrying things, Moon's defence was very questionable first half, the pack looks rudderless without Peacock who obviously brings the passion everyone else feeds off, referees seem to not like us particularly (not paranoia, we just don't seem to get 50/50's, there were several harsh and inconsistent penalties against us last night). Perhaps we can thank our coach for that. We have to be smarter, simply whining about it and carrying on doing things the way we do them isn't going to work.
I also worry about the squad development. Which is being (mis) guided by the fact we sit on the lip of this performance cliff and we are not prepared to take a small fall to eventually get away from the edge.
Sinfield was pretty honest last night, he's putting effort in, he's not hiding but we looked frighteningly leaderless last night. He puts so much into his own personal performance that I think when he's struggling himself he finds it difficult to lift others around him.

This is all spot on.
Those disagreeing with this are just been stubborn, and feel they need to maintain a stance, rather than accepting what is correct. I am sure they don't really have the same view away from posting on here, they really can't be that naive.

| Tough decisions need to be made in respect of some of the senior players. Remains to be seen whether even if the coach wants to make them whether his CEO - who IMO is too close to this group of players - would be prepared to stand by him.

| Don't think kevs leading the team well at the moment sorry but he's the captain and we keep seeing instances of poor discipline such as jjb brainfarts last night.I can't see the 100 percent commitment we are used to seeing is he worried about getting injured before world cup ? If so he is putting country before his club . Something is wrong at leeds and it needs fixing fast.
