I would agree with that but 3 or 4 players before the apparent dropping of Gale should have been dropped before last night.
On the other hand maybe Gale didn`t like what he was told about his performance and reacted whereas others playing badly accepted the criticism of Agar?

Given there were three that were "dropped" including two that have played well, I doubt it's performance related. Maybe some breach of the club's covid rules or the like?

From our seats it was clear steward got removed but Salford fan was left alone and if anything won his argument with other headingley staff

If its what ive been told the steward will never work at Headingley again.

No doubt it has it was just a simple question about what looked like a unpleasant incident. Just unusual to see a member of staff being dragged away

The incident was a strange one as a couple more Salford fans either joined in or tried to restrain the original fan. The fact that the steward was hauled away by other stewards suggests he said something really nasty. Stewards do have a difficult job at times but they have to be calm and not react in a bad way to criticism.
The days of having boys in blue were much better!

I was attempting an ironic quip at the amount on here that say “ive been told” and “if its what ive heard” in regards to rumours, and specifically this weekend about Gale, but never actually tell you anything. In reality i have no clue what happened with the stewards and Salford fans.

If so, it's hardly unheard of. Would be surprised if the club and respective players couldn't get past it. Type of thing that could cost the captaincy though. Guess we'll know soon enough. Squad for Hull will be announced on Tuesday.

I was at Hunslet this afternoon as my daughter was playing in the curtain raiser. Gale was there to hand out medals to the kids, so I asked him out right if he would still be at the club. His reply was 'yeah mate, it was nothing really and all been blown out of proportion'. Make of if what you will, but he didn’t seem worried by whatever has gone on.

Deffo had a fall out then. Dropped. All sorted. Back in contention for next game.. move on. Happens in professional sport all the time

We’ll know more when we get the team for Hull. I can imagine Gale rubbing people up the wrong way sometimes, he is a passionate character and says what he thinks.

We really could do without needing another half back after all the team has been through. Whatever has happened I hope it gets sorted out quickly, stay or go, so that we have a good prep for next year.

The rough and tumble world of Southstander does not suit everyone. Although I will say it seems pretty well behaved these days.

My twopenneth is it was probably a build up of frustration from Gale who let it get the better of him and had a daft outburst.
