The rumour is that Wakefield's new owner will be confirmed very soon and that 2 parties are left in the negotiations from the original 4. It is not clear yet whether Wakefield will enter administration for a very brief period or whether a deal will be done, similar to a pre-pack but with a new owner... the favourite still looks to be the party I thought would take over and suspect the fans and the RL would want!

They could be very clipper, sorry chipper, in Wakefield in the next couple of days!

Rumours are that the a deal with a new owner has been substantially completed and as such, news will emerge soon. I think they were trying to avoid administration with the prospective buyers but clearly new owners were not willing to take on unqualified amounts of debt. It is shame for any creditors who will lose out but this is the nature of the law and of business and of course, it looks like Wakefield will have a fresh start with a very wealthy new owner.

Club claim that they have 4 "interested parties".....

I wonder how much interest there will be without the big juicy carrot of a new ground at Newmarket Lane?
