Watkins at the moment it's a water if a shirt. Sutcliffe is on 2 minutes and already has made as many breaks as Watkins has all season.

He doesn't seem to want the ball, and seems like he's got concrete boots on in defense

Im a fan of Oledzki and Smith, but thought they were both poor today, Oledzki especially.

Young lads who need taking out of firing line. Unfortunately don't have the depth to do so. Especially with Ward and Ablett injured constantly

I am highly critical of Sutcliffe, he is most definitely not an half or fullback, and he certainly wasn’t man of match. But I thought his defence on that right edge today was superb. A big weakness for us for a long time, but he really held that side together today.

Thought Ava and Peteru did great jobs, and already said I think Donaldson was MOM.

Still far too weak in our own 20 & not enough composure in attack.
Some good digs by individuals but id happily see half that 17 today moved on.

We gave Donaldson a contract as he was a low risk depth player, who is currently the best 2nd row we have available by a long way. Mom for me too Gotcha.

Jesus wept. If Agar is in place until the end of the year then that is ludicrous. What was the point in sacking Furner if the answer was Agar. Sinfield and Hetherington have lost the plot

To be fair to Agar, his appraisals of our performances are spot on, and he knows what’s wrong, I just don’t believe he knows how to fix it, otherwise we’d have seen more improvement by now.

I was impressed with Walker, Myler, Seumanufagai, Donaldson, Peteru, and Merrin.

I also thought L. Sutcliffe worked hard; A. Sutcliffe made a crucial break, and Newman took his try well. Oledski fine too.

Dwyer and Parcell a mixed bag. Dwyer struggles for consistency and Parcell struggles for impact when he's not running against a retreating defensive line / PTB.

We surely need better wingers than Briscoe and Handley; they are the definition of sub-average at the moment. I'm coming round to the idea of resting Watkins if Hurrell is fit.

In the forwards, I thought Singleton just isn't doing enough with his carries. Cameron Smith is okay going forward and works hard but he seems to be a sloppy defender - the Sky team criticised him for 'going high' on one of the London try scorers when defending our line. Not sure either are good enough.

Trying to work out why we couldn't defend after going 24-10 up. Is it a mental thing? A fitness thing? Not playing as a team? If this team can learn to defend a lead we will be okay, but for some reason it's not happening.

We are now effectively 3 points clear due to PD. I’d say we have 3 winnable games left this season: HKR and Wigan at home, and London away. That would put us 8/9 points above where London are now, meaning they need to win 4/5 more games. Of course we may lose at there place and that would put us right in the mix, or we could sneak another win and be safe with a couple of weeks to go.

The criticism of L Sutcliffe,Handley and Myler by posters is embarrassing.If they don't play we get beat today,simple.

Reality is that there are very few players of the right calibre in the current squad. Some will improve to the required level, others have no chance of getting there. It’s a tough call but most of the current players need to be moved on for us to get back challenging.

All the incoming players in the next close season must be significantly better than those they replace. We also need 3 or 4 genuine leaders too to support the mental strength development of the kids and to put the right culture in place.

If Donaldsom is in the 17 he has to continue to start for me. He offers little impact off the bench but I thought he went well day. He defends well and actually made 2 nice breaks. Well done to him.

Newman is improving week on week and is super talented. Hes doing really well for the team for a kid so young.

Walker looked sharp on the left edge.

Let's be honest were not going to get much from this team. The pack and halves are so poor so it's about getting enough results to stay up. Confidence is low, pressure was mounting and for once we hung on in and got the points at the end of the day. Weve lost some games this year that we had already won so to hang on when let's be honest we all thought we wouldn't in those last 5 mins shows a bit of spirit from the team.

I thought we defended well in the first half even though we made handling errors we dug in when needed and defended those errors.


The team is anxious but let's hope it gets some belief from today. A week off and hopefully Hurrell and 1 or 2 more back and let's see what Wakey brings in 2 weeks.

For next year this has to start with halfback. We can get by with duffers in most positions, but we absolutely need a quality playmaker. I'd like to see McLelland given a go alongside them, because we've seen the best of Sutcliffe and Myler and they are nowhere near good enough over long periods when asked to run the show, which we'd be one injury away from.

Its a shame (in lots of ways!) that we don't have more breathing space, because it makes it hard for Agar to drop some of our Academy forwards into the squad every week. That delays their development and makes it harder for the club to make decisions re retention. But some of those lads must be wondering what they have to do to get into the first team given how dire so many of our forwards are.

I am going to take this back. Must have missed a few things. Sutcliffe stats are just awful, assuming they are correct. Four missed tackles again, along with Watkins shocking 6 missed. Sutcliffe costing two penalties. I was giving him credit yesterday, even though I knew he was woeful with the ball, his main job. Whoever gave him MOM needs their head shaking.

Parcell, Merrin, and Smith stats very impressive, and most of the work through them. Oledzki, clearly his worst game of year and looked all out of sorts. Singletons stats also on the embarrassing side for a starter.

You cant go off stats unless you know which tackles are missed. If they are 1 on 1s fair enough but how do we know the ones missed arent from running 15 yards to cover someone else's missed tackle and never really having a chance to make the tackle but almost getting there. It still goes down as a missed tackle on your stats despite it actually being a great piece of effort.
