I really was hoping Sutcliffe would push on in this position, he did look the part at the back end of last year.

Sutcliffe is one great dilema that Sinny needs to sort out. What will be his primary postion centre, stand off, fullback, second rower or loose forward?

I don't know anything about Lolohea, but Moon's strength is solely as a running threat, something he gets criticised for on here. Does Lolohea have any organisational skills ? Myler seems to struggle with this on his own.

He’s not a back. I always said he was a like for like of Gaskell. I got that wrong, he isn’t even that level. Forwards is the next to try, or preferably just move on.

I know it's all too late now but I'm still of the opinion that Keinhorst would and does offer more at both centre and second row than Sutcliffe.

Granted Keinhorst is no world beater in either position but in my opinion he gives consistently decent performances every time he's played. I think he's a good 7/10 rating at least all the time whereas with Sutcliffe he might have a 9/10 once every blue moon where you think "Wow he's arrived at last and this is his position' but for the majority of the rest of the time I'm left wondering "Is he even out there on the pitch" as he just drifts/disappears

Keinhorst has the heart that Sutcliffe lacks but isn't big or fast enough to be a long-term solution IMO (well, for a club with our ambitions).

Yes he moved 30 miles nearer Australia from Salford, so that could mean he might be going to Hull, and doing it in stages.

Shame. Thought he looked much much better at centre last weekend. That's his best position without a doubt. We definitely need a new left centre.

I spoke to him on Sat and he said he was retiring and going home to work for his dad's construction company for a couple of years before taking over.

Very predictable that he was going. Another one that needs replacing from outside as we don't have anyone close to being ready. I'd be looking at signing someone for about 3 years and getting Harry Newman ready during that time.

You do not need 3 years to get him ready. Had they utilised him for rest of this, we could have given him a shared role next year. 3 years is more for Jack Burton to be running with. Newman is 2 years on from that.

I would say Newman is in the minority of an example of dual registration working. Had we used it for similar all the time, then Hetherington would really have had an argument with rest of league. We haven’t done that though.

Kane Linnett

Looking at the what happen in the Saints game he is at least two off being physically strong enough to play SL - he looked like Hardaker did when he went to the NRL about 20kg too light. If he is the best prospect we have at centre we definitely need to be looking externally in the shorter term.

He is a great prospect, but got mullered defensively when he played especially against Catalan. At least 12-24 months if super league standard yet. Dual reg at Fev for a year first.
