And stand offish, we all know the only reason you're bemoaning this is because you fear warrington more than us!

I didn't really think about the sending off at first.
What first occured to me was that briers had attacked ablett from behind when his back was turned. Cowardly.

So, if Briers cops a ban, confirming that he should have been sent off, meaning that had the right call been made Leeds would have been playing 12 men in the 2nd half, will you still agree we weren't robbed? Especially seeing as the try which put them in the lead before half time shouldn't have been given. I take Leeds to win going into half time at least 4 points up with a man advantage. Instead, all the momentum was sucked out of us, and we never recovered. As has already been said elsewhere, if Bailey threw a punch like that he would have been off the pitch in a matter of seconds!
If we get another crack at them via clubcall, we can take Warrington - assuming that is we get a half decent ref

| I must admit I was shocked when I saw his appointment. But upon thinking about it, our game today was an experience game for him as it wasn't do or die. He does bottle it at times. As an example when the ball went through hills legs he was shouting "backwards" and gesturing with his arm backwards then on the try being scored he went to the VR.

I find it baffling that you think the game would have panned out the same if Briers had have been sent off as he should have?

Spot on. Decisions can be irritating but you have to see the bigger picture.
The leeds players didn't win 5 grand final in 6 years by dwelling on or beefing about poor decisions. Game eb and flow 50;s 50's and difficult decisions happen. You concentrate on what you control. If the leeds players have the mental toughness to forget about decisions then so can the fans.
Forget it, onwards to next week!

Watkins hands were facing backwards when he released, but the ball drifted in mid air, and BJB was so far behind watkins when the ball was passed he had to lean forward which deceives idiots, like you. By the letter of the law it was fine, and SC said as much in commentary.

| don't have a problem with BOTD per se, as long as it's a clear and consistent rule. That being, that referees when going to the VR are saying they believe a try has been scored, and are looking for a clear reason to disallow, in the absence of which the try will be awarded.
Clear for everyone, and reduces the stupid amount of time spent on the VR.

| BOTD is when you can't prove they haven't scored. In this instance it was clear from the second showing. Had it not been Bentham it was a no try.

| What with Westwood's second try, nobody has mentioned Westwood's first try, which confused me.
Westwood was stopped by another superb Hardaker tackle, put the ball down short of the line, picked it up again and plonked it over. At no point did the ball-carrying arm hit the floor, but the ball did.
Cummings on the commentary said that it's the ball-carrying arm that has to hit the floor for it to be a double-movement. but 1) is this correct? 2) if it is correct then why? He grounds the ball in a completed tackle then regrounds it further on, there's no substantive difference to double movement.

Well my side are not even in the play-offs, so I am not quite sure what you are chuntering about.
Nor could they be since they are in the division below.
I like Leeds, I like Warrington, I wasn't bothered who won, but I am bothered about shoite refereeing.
I hope that clears that up.

Yep, I thought he said if the ball touches the ground it's tackle complete, and it did. Dodgy play the ball for the Grix try too. Also there is a Warrington player in the tackle for Westwoods second preventing Hall from getting in and securing the ball which the V.R. took no notice of but Cummings alluded to.
Yeah maybe we got some poor calls but I really don't get the impression Leeds were really that desperate to win. Once the score drifted Leeds played for fun. Should we get past Saint's I think we will see a different mentality from Leeds.

Edit...
Having read your post again we are talking about different trIes.

| It's strange but when I was saying about the refs been bent I was laughed off here, suppose it depends who the calls are going against.
I'll just quote what I was told the refs are not biased and do a very tough job, some calls go against ya but evens itself out over the 80 minutes.
Best team won get over it, I'm over Wigan beating us now, they were best team as well, good luck in the losers playoff

Refs aren't bent.
They are inconsistent.

| What I can't understand with the BOTD is the VR doesn't have the same access to the game as the muppets do in the studio ie the zoom picture, surely it's the same sky cameras or is he looking at it through his own camcorder???
As for Briers the guy is a coward there's no doubt he should have been sent from the field if not permanently and if my interpretation of the rules are correct that's what should have happened or almost certainly for 10 minutes ala Bailey/Blanche the other week. The inconsistency in the officials decisions this season is bizarre, one mans sending off is another mans "don't do it again Lee"

| Briers did what Bailey does on a regular basis, he's there to Wind folks up and worked a treat cos Wire won the game, Ablett has previous form for this sort of thing when Wardle got sent off against you guys for punching him (was Child the ref then too?), to be fair Ablett and Leeds got what they deserved.

Wire were more wound up by the incident than leeds. Watch the resulting sets. Wire won because they were the better team, not because lee briers tried to punch one of the players in the first half.

Form for what exactly? Having the temerity to tackle briers and then stand there and do nothing?

No complaints there, leeds deserved to lose. But you don't half post some rubbish, it comes as no suprise you have an avatar of cleetus. Your opinions match your avatar.
