| Quote ="Exeter Rhino"I'm just not seeing what Clarkson offers at the moment, as with last season, although as I only get to see televised games I'm happy for someone to enlighten me.
I suppose having a workhorse who doesn't give loads of penalties away isn't bad - just don't quite see him as being the next JJB/Ablett, and he's had long enough to establish himself in the team by now. Too harsh? He doesn't seem to have kicked on since being a regular under McClennan.'"
My thoughts on Clarkson isn't necessarily that his form has dropped rather than our half backs have. He runs some devastating lines and has a good pass. Our problem is that we don't seem to know how to pass to him at the moment, often being slightly too late meaning that he's already in the line before he can gather it.

This.
If our halves were performing then I believe that Clarkson's game would improve. It also might help is the sort pass while he was running at the line wasn't fired at him at 90mph.

| I believe the usual suspects are playing for Hunslet tonight, Moore, Watson, Keinhorst, Chisholm and Hood.

Its difficult for him when he gets limited game time, when he has got decent minutes he has performed well. While Ablett and Delaney are out he should getting a decent run.

| Third game in 12 days, is that too much in that you are against a Hull FC side at their place who are bang in form.

| Regards clarkson,my take on it is he starts and offers you a full on graft for 80 minutes effort or doesnt feature at all.he is not an impact player and is wasted on the bench getting a token 10 minutes unless we are down to the bare bones.i would stick with him in the starting 13 for now.

| Once they got the confidence in themselves they were impressive. Before that they looked very average.

| Still no 19-man squad announced?
Thought it had to be released 48 hours before kickoff?

| All the Leeds coaching staff, were watching Hunslet tonight plus G.H. I would think they were having a look at Hood or at least i'd hope so. Hood had a decent game again tonight as did Keinhorst. Watson was solid but Achurch didn't do a right lot IMO.

| Interesting that Achurch is named in the squad having played last night. We are heavy in the pack at the moment. Should see more game time for Sutcliffe and Singleton though

| Should be a good game, could go either way depending on how we come into the game.
I reckon our hit-and-miss form will be the decider - if we come out like we did against Wire, it'll be a cracker with Leeds looking to bounce back.
If we're anything like what we were for 70 minutes against KR, it could be a long night for us.

| No matter what team Leeds put out its very unlikely that we lose if we good discipline. I know every team concedes penalties but the timing and needless-ness of quite a lot of ours is very disappointing.
With Childs in the middle I'm certain they'll be a period in the game where he'll ping us quite a few times in quick succession. The last time we had him (vs Wire) we were in control but then in the 2nd half he seemed hell bent on making things close.
Saints the other week, comfortably up then we conceded a few penalties and we let the game slip. The ones vs Wigan at the weekend already debated on another thread. Catalans away, we would've strolled that game had we not been so ill-disciplined, it also the reason we only drew with Bradford and Cas edged us at the death at the start of the season.

My boss at work is convinced that its all a big conspiricy theory and that the ref on TV games are told to try and make the game closer by the use of penalties to make the game look better on TV!!!!!

Agreed. I still think if we play with the pace, intent and skill we did against Wigan it'll be too much for Hull regardless.

| hull fc are such an inconsistent side and you just don't know which game they are gonna bring to the field on game day,but when they're good they can beat anyone but when they're bad they are absolutely terrible
i think we might just sneak this game but in a very close encounter
