I hope Frosties is wrong, if we lost Webb for the whole season I would be worried to be honest. We don't have a fullback who links in the line like he does, having another play maker behind the backline makes us very unpredictable. I couldn't stand to see Smith waddle the ball in like a paraplegic sloth for the rest of the season.

First and foremost,I hope Brent webb's health is ok,and yes from the point of view of the team it would be very difficult without him for the rest of the season

I'm only guessing but maybe his illness could be something like a bad case of gastro entoritous ( excuse the spelling) that can sometimes take a few weeks to get over if you get a bad case of it.

Isn't he also a chef/gourmet?if he is he will also be banned from the kitchen if that is his illness

If and it is a big if as we do not know if Webb has played his last game for us.
But what about Danny Mags at FB with Ward in the halves.

i remember a game away at the ikea stadium at warrington a fair few years ago (not 100% when but cullen was still in charge) and danny during the game, due to injuries was shuffled to full back and from what i remember he did well and took kick returns well.
IMO due to having bjb, smith and possibly more to cover i seriously doubt that it would be done, in theory, its a good idea, in reality i dont think he would quickly adjust as her spent his whole career at so or sh.

We now know Smith is a pale shadow of his former self and BJB doesn't instill utter confidence at the back either.

McGuire has to be non-starter as an idea here....he is now our best scrum half option with very little alternative apart from perhaps McShane who has in turn disappointed in his efforts to command the hooker's spot.

For me it now has to be Hardaker as first option IF this rumour is true....with (surprise surprise

) Hall moving inside to centre AND Chisholm given his now [i[uoverdue[/u[/i chance on the left wing.

.....or you could give BJB a chance to play a few games in a row at fullback before making that call. Then you could swap Hall to the right and bring in Chisholm. Minimal changes are better than wholesale ones.

BTW wouldn't at least one of Webb's teammates have broken ranks about this on twitter or whatever if it was true?

I just watched the U20 highlights and Chisholm surely deserves a chance soon, he has real pace and a bit of size too. If not in our first team, I'd think we should loan him out to get some first team experience - he looks to have all the raw materials to be a very good winger.

What a difference a few weeks makes. Its not long since some were saying how good we looked at Fullback, and that Webb had better improve. Now its the end of the world that he's not playing.

Smith is still the answer for fullback, should he get an extended run. Although I do accept that Hardacker would be a cracking fullback.

Problem with Webb out is creative side of the game. Webb out, you need a good scrum half and McGuire. Although perhaps Ward could fill that stand off role if Sinfield is willing to move back to 13.

IF this were true, and it meant we were discussing a serious illness or injury, then whether it affects Leeds Rhinos adversely is pretty irrelevant.

That aside, I could say all kinds of good things about his time in a Leeds shirt, but I'll save them until such time (hopefully at least a few months away) as he actually leaves the club.
