| The ideal coach to take leeds through a transitional period is currently at Bradford! Take a look at his track record of blooding youngsters and see what they're currently doing for Saints!

| Before tonight I had the opinion of McDermott stays as there is no one else better to step in. But now I'm all for giving some Joe Bloggs the job to try and earn a name. We are not winning anything with McDermott, simple as. At least offer someone a 6 month contract and see what they can do.

| I don`t think there`s anyone who would come in at this stage. McDermott will be given till the end of the year to come up with something. The worry for me is that basically the team that played tonight was bar McGuire n Peacock and possibly Ali and Ablett our first team.
If you count Smith that means Watkins misses out.
And who is to say McGuire and Peacock will continue where they left off prior to their injuries.

| It doesn't matter who else we get, I fail to beleive that they will come up with a worse performance than that.
Utter rubbish in all facets of the game.
If we lose next Thursday and Monday that should be it.

I think its past looking at JP and Mags. He have no structure in attack - McGuire cannot grab every player and place them where he wants. The defence is shocking. JP cannot cover every missed tackle. If we had a good attacking structure but not the finishing touches to score more points then McGuire we be a welcome return, but I honestly cannot see it changing much.

If we don't put in a more respectable effort on Thursday I'm not sure Monday will even come into the equation

| The part of the game that summed it up for me was when we got a set of six on the Giants line. At least four of the tackles were wasted by players with no option but to try an individual drive and hope to break through. The lack of any game plan is staggering to watch.

That's the thing. A coach who was terrible in his last job, backed up by an assistant who was terrible in his last job.
How the hell do you [inot[/i see that being a disaster?

| Whilst I agree re McDermott - I am shocked at the lack of any structure both in attack and defense, the players have to take some of the blame - the tackling for the tries in the first half was laughable for pro players.
Hopefully this will bring matters to a head and we will see an exodus of some players - the coach doesn't coach players to not keep hold of the ball in the tackle, not be able to accurately kick either a high bomb or a grubber - compare Brough's kicking game to that of either Sinfield or Burrow, it would be funny if it weren't so tragic.
The old guard have shown they are not adaptable and this can only lead one way - backwards to oblivion time to get rid of some big names.
For me to go
GH - he has reached his level of incompetence
McDermott - wrong time wrong place
Lowes - never ever was a right time
Burrow - if he runs in any more circles he will damage the pitch
JJB - taxi required
Senior - pension book required
Kylie - plane ticket
Kirke - job centre
Ali - stealing a living
Delanney - not good enough
Huraki - anywhere, just get him out of the blue & amber

Who appointed the coaches, who told them how they were to play, who recruited the players - the buck stops with him - it is time for some new blood at the top.

| He owns the joint, he ain't going nowhere.
He made an enormous mistake appointing the two failed coaching clowns. Now he need to put it right. I don't believe he will until seasons end but I've made my mind up.

I feel sorry for Hauraki. Whilst he has had a nightmare start on the field, I think that shows up the coaches more than him: in how they integrate a new player, how they use his skills, how they give him structure and confidence coming into a new team. If you saw him last year for Crusaders you'd know he's got talent. If you saw him for the NZ Maori you'd see what he can do when being fed the ball by Rangi Chase rather than Rob Burrow. I think he'll be a good player for Leeds (given a proper coach) and I hope the crowd don't write him off because of a chaotic start.
I also think you're being amazingly unfair saying that GH has "reached his level of incompetence". He's made some serious mistakes over the last year, but that's an odd thing to write given the outstanding things he's done for Leeds over a more than "competent" executive career.
