People go on about moving to a bigger club to better your game but playing behind a beaten pack every now and again won't do him any harm as far as developing his kicking game.

Hell, experience of being behind a beaten pack should be a pre-requisite for playing for England.

Even at his age and experience Myler can step up and control games very well.

Just because he plays for Salford doesn't mean he can't be the best player in his position?

He's got it all, a good kicking game, passing game, quick on his feet and he leads his pack around the field very well, especially for someone so young.

Listen i'm not Danny McGuires biggest fan but at the minute our packs on it's ar5e so to speak so it would be hard for anyone to work there magic behing that...
But how can you compare two players who play different positions...

How can you not compare them?

Anyone that knows a thing or 2 about the sport will know that SO and SH are not very different positions. Same height. Same Weight. Both kickers of the ball. Both have a good step. Myler is only 19, i can guarantee you he will play at SO at some point in his career. Scott Murrell used to play 7 for Leeds academy, he is now settled at Loose Forward.

That's whats been so impressive - knock him down, and he gets back up and carries on as if nothing has happened. According to BBC Manchester McRae gave him the option of a rest today to protect him as he develops - but he wanted to play...

by far and away the best scrum half i've seen at salford, has everything including a natural ability to score tries himself making opponents very wary of him and hence, creates indicision and he finds the right pass or kick option

Best 7 I've seen this season. Hopefully will develop further. All of our creative players were dire today, and all on friday. Not really a shock to see McGuire copping it though

Myler was quality today. Haven't seen much of the lad but he looks the real deal. I was far, far more impressed with him than the skinny young Gypo playing half back for Wigan.

Myler's kick through, at the line, for the reds try in the 2nd half was all class and composure under real pressure.

Cracking prospect.

When Tomkins scored today and the stats come up on the screen on sky it said he is 5'11'' and 14st. There is absolutely no way he is 14st.

an actual scrum half with abilities in every required facet a scrum half needs...for too long GB/England have taken players with them with "A" skill rather than the rounded abilities Myler has shown in his two years at salford. Eastmond strikes me as being a Robinson figure...special pace and power of the mark, give you a performance from half-back against a lesser side, but won't control a match when the team your against is just as good. Personal view again, but that's what Burrow is...of the back of a strong pack, his size, pace and personal tricks make him a quality player, but if his side is in trouble, would he be able to keep you in touch with an intelligent kicking game say? Same with Eastmond. Pains me to admit it, salford are not a great side, but what Myler is actuallly 'learning' with us is how to play when you don't just roll over the opposition and how to keep control even when your not on top - and those are skills needed internationally against the Aussies/Kiwis

I saw Myler play for England v Wales at Doncaster & was impressed with him then.
Today he was excellent alert to take his intreception and showed the alleged better Burro, McGuire & Sinfiled how to kick near the opponent's try line.
Plus he has that essential attribute pace. Definitely one for the future I hope that he can continue to develop with Salford for the good of Superleague. Impressed me far more than Tompkins. Ainscough though I do like.
