| For Danny B to get a ban for that is a disgrace. Not even the worst challenge in the match, which despite the intensity was relatively clean. The RFL certainly like to make the game a laughing stock with these irrational decisions.
Have we got a 2nd team fixture this weekend? Back 'int day' I'm sure players could use their ban in these games.

| You can argue about what kicks deserve to be punished and what dont but what it all comes down to is the fact that the RFL and its referees are inconsistent.
Personally I thought Senior was unlucky, it wasn't a deliberate kick at an opponent but he did kick out which is dangerous. As for Tomkins, well the guy has a few screws missing but you cant get away with what he did.
Then onto Buderus we go. Was his offence worse than Radfords for example? I suspect Buderus wont get his ban overturned which suggests that the RFL do think a dangerous trip/throw is worse than standing over a downed man and reigning punches onto his head.
The true offenders in all this are the RFL and their lack on consistency or anything that resemble Kahoonas.

| The Buderus ban is a joke. End of.
Clumsy, player turned over. No malice, no damage done. Why the OTT reaction.
Leeds have to take it to appeal. There were worse incidents that were let off with a penalty, so I don't see why the Buderus tackle should be regarded in a different league.

McGoldrick has been to Red Hall 4 times this year for kicking out, how many times has he been banned for it?

Absolutely. I hope the club does appeal. Bluddy ridiculous......compounded by Tomkins getting away completely with his petulant kicking. How exactly was that excused by the RL ? Green light boys....nowt wrong with that.
Not a great conspiracy theorist...... But have to wonder whether the powers that be would rather see the league leaders at old trafford or embarrasingly ( for the game's credibility ) knocked out by a much lower placed club ?

Wouldn't be surprised if on appeal the panel is made up of Phil and Colin Clarke alongside Tomkins' mum and dad.

| Thats article sums everything up.
[iHetherington said: "From the outset we were surprised that there were four incidents up for review and it was only felt there was one case to answer.
"We are shocked at the outcome of the hearing, given that Danny has a good record over 13 years and taking into account all the various similar incidents that have gone unpunished throughout the course of the season."[/i

That is ridiculous.
If it works as it has over the season (the RFL's website does not have a rota for September) then the disciplinary board for one week is the same as the appeal board for the previous week. Which means Clarke and McInnes were also on the panel who waived Radford's ban (correctly IMO, but it shows that they're not usually hanging judges), and also decided Joel Tomkins's kick was worth no further action, which Justin Morgan will be interested to hear.
I don't know who'll be on the appeal panel tonight, Kris Radlinski, Shaun Wane and Stuart Maconie most probably, but if it's not another bent panel it should get overturned.

You're on form this week with the anti-Buderus malarky G1.
IMO never a ban - his tackling technique is to get low around the legs and normally this is fine, but as (Kylie?) who was also involved in the tackle released the player, the tackle from Buderus resulted in him spinning over. In no way malicious - not sure how a ban in this situation can be helpful. It was not something Buderus set out to do. (Unlike, say, kicking a player on the ground?)
Besides, Buderus himself was plonked on his head in the WCC and IIRC nothing came of that what-so-ever.
The inconsistency of decisions this year has been nothing short of embarrasing - but obviously nothing will be done about it.

You happy to see players lift and turn other players with hands between their legs? I am not.
Yes, I would like the Wigan player who did it banned. That he appears to have gotten away with it doesn't alter the fact that Buderus' ban is merited. Two wrongs don't make a right.
You see, that is called having a belief and applying it consistently regardless of the player involved.
HTH.

Whilst I agree that the RFL are inconsistent you prove my point. You complain that nothing was done about a spear on Buderus. So I ssume you think such tackles should be penalised. Yet you don't think Buderus' tackle should be.
You're as inconsistent as the RFL judiciary.

Nice of you to assume things I've not said.
I mearly referred to that incident to show that these 'spear tackles' go unpunished - for Buderus to get a 1 match ban for his on Sunday is, IMO, unjustified.
Still, let's see what the appeal decides.

Yes - I already knew the answer. But it was not to "bag" Diskin but rather to counter the point that Buderus had a bad game because he gave away a penalty with the point that has not been raised ie. Diskin nearly gave away the match!

I don't like the tackle either, maybe it is a ban. But lets have a level playing field ey? Buderus didn't mean to do it, its not his style. Even GH has come out and expressed his opinion about others getting away with it. I bet there has been about 20+ of these tackles this season and only one or two have been 'chosen' to punish.

I've already agreed that the RFL are inconsistent. However, I believe all players should be punished for these dangerous tackles. I'd be a hypocrite if I changed that belief just because it's a Leeds player on the receiving end.
