The NFL punished us and made an example of us and rightly so, $1million in fines and the loss of a 1st round pick, we were not the only team that were doing it, we were just the first to get caught, if it was as serious as some are trying to make out(like the idiot in the article) the NFL would have taken more action than they did, maybe even stripped us of our titles if they thought neccessary.

The Broncos did the same thing this year and got fined feck all, I think it was about $50k each for McDaniels and the team, why are people not talking about that? because they are not winning games/trophies so nobody cares. Maybe the feller in the link can pretend to be a 49ers fan and try to get some money out of the Broncos aswell

The only reason Favre's retirement is definite is because he's a busted flush now with owners and GMs - everyone's seen him fall apart over the last 12 months so nobody in the NFL is going to be daft enough to offer him another contract.

it is more politican than that Richie. The owner of the Titans has come out saying he likes Young, the owner Bud Adams is taking advise from From Jerry Glanville who says to give Fisher 1 more year and let them carve out a working relationship. The fans are asking for change after 17 years and an 8-8 record who do you listen too. But for the sake what it means to being a top head coach i certainly agrre with you Fisher should win out if not than Steve Ross and the Dolphins should trample his door down if Cowher does not come.

The Titans owner needs to decide if he wants to extend Fisher's stay and if he doesn't he should release him to avoid a lame duck season. He should not link the Young issue with the coaching issue. Whoever comes in should insist they have the right to show Young the door.
