Fair point, he was certainly coming of his line fast and put a big shoulder into cuthbo which finished him for the game. He looked sharp again.

Really pleased for the boys. I'm actually feeling pretty gutted for Salford too as they almost pulled it off against the odds. We made about of mistakes in that second half. Painful viewing in parts from our perspective. But Galey is a born winner isn't he, so hats off to them for coming back from the dead c and holding their nerve.

I need to watch it again without the nerves, but I think we were fairly poor in that second half but had the character to come back and see it through

I don't think he's on a wind up. I think he just doesn't understand Rugby League and is desperately bluffing. Unfortunately his lack of knowledge has been pretty exposed over the past few weeks.

Although to be fair, you could indeed say that apart from the two runs, the two try assists and the try-saving intervention he didn't do that much.

So, apart from the two runs that got us decent field position off our own line, the two try assists which, well, assisted two tries. And the try saving intervention, which prevented Salford from scoring, he didnt do that much?

I think he knows the game but has his players and agendas and wont change. He clearly wants certain people to fail which i find strange.

Anyway, personally, im proud as punch to see the club back winning silverware again.

Club looks set up to have a good team for a while now. The young lads are coming thru and the spirit is back. Really really pleased. Leeds is a special club.

Funny game on reflection for various reasons. I did think Ava had a stormer; he goes about his business with quality and we really need him.

A Sutcliffe, whilst as I said wouldn’t have made my bench, put in some massive hits in D and was really solid.

Thought Donaldson was trying too hard in places which is a shame because he’s been great this season.

Hurrell a real handful but I get frustrated at our lack of ability to get him into space. One on one he’s going to break most attempts but we use him as a cart horse in traffic. Salford played as a team very well.

Think Salford played well and you wonder how they do it with the resources they have. We looked the better side but thought we’d thrown it away because of the pressure Salford applied.

Hope Walker, Smith, Holroyd kick on and use this as positive motivation.

Really emotional watching this group celebrating at the end and listening to Avas interview. Still much to do going forward but it was like the shackles of the golden generation had been shaken off.

Ava’s interview was great. We need another prop with punch but he would be in my starting side every week without a doubt. Another year on Mik and Tommy plus a gun prop and Ava is an awesome front row in prospect.

Really liking how our pack is shaping up, for the first time in a long time.

We need to keep the Hurrell- Briscoe combination on the right.

Really pleased for everyone involved with the club, and particularly for those who have been behind the wheel while the muck and bullets have been flying in this rebuild.

Winning breeds winning. The whole squad will have a lot more self belief now and they will have gotten huge experience from the final and getting over the winning line. It will set them up very well for the years ahead it’s a massive boost for the entire club.

wasn't sure of handley but looks more complete player this year . tom briscoe thought was finished other year and was in top 4 yesterday -- still would like a big aggressive prop

Before lockdown I'm pretty certain the club openly admitted they were looking to bring a prop in as a marquee player if the right one became available.Not sure we need to bust the bank to get one but that is the only key position I think we need a bit more quality.

I was never a fan but Handley is turning into a very solid winger. He may not have silky skills but he does the basics really well plus he has an eye for the try line.

Handley has got some real consistency to his game. Personally, i have always rated him though at one point i did think he would be a centre in the long-term, now he's an out and out winger and a very good one.

Myler was the MOTM IMO baring one mistake which lets be honest the other top performers who were again IMO Prior and Gale also made a couple of errors.

After a second viewing thought Prior gave a Peacock -esque performance in a final as good as anyone could have hoped for. Think he's been excellent for us so far.

He’s seems to get a bit of stick tbh which I can’t understand. He’s a solid, consistent, no nonsense workhorse. He’s better in the back row.

Prior has been an upgrade on Merrin IMO

Consistency is a good word. He doesn't make many errors. If he's given a scorable chance, 99% of the time, he's gonna convert it.

The opposite can also be true, losing breeds losing. Take warrington, I think not getting over the line in the grand final has held them back, it get's the monkey off the back and affects the psyche of the club.

As an aside it was strange that there wasn't a single 6 again call for a ruck infringement yesterday. There were certainly cases.
