Thought Merrin went ok at times but if Garbutt was released for being unfit and lazy then Merrin looks like a weight watchers subscription wouldn't go amiss. If Ferres had given that amount of penalties away he would get slated.

I don’t think he was great tonight, but I’d say the entire front row and forward subs were worse, with Donaldson the only exception.

We just didn’t look up for it, passive, and if they’d really put their foot down it could easily have been 40 in the against column.

Ferres is a disgrace, has been since we signed him, was tonight. We looked awful tonight but im still confident we'l have a decent season.

Ward was good, really put himself about in defence. He isn’t big enough to punch holes in heavy traffic.
Oledzki managed one dominant collision and I think that was about it from our pack tonight.
Bright points, thought Walker looked quite sharp at the back, Hurrell as expected will be a handful.
Merrin looks like he’ll be quality in what he does but I’m not yet convinced he was the right call for marquee. No point in signing him to play prop when we could have looked at a proper prop with marquee allowance instead.

Not many good performances there. I don't think I've seen so many carries being made by the backs.

Least said about that game the better, it was everything we hoped it would not be, we were Beaten in every department all across this he field, nobody played particularly bad but nobdy played well, cannot see the point in singling out individuals and it was a collective loss, positives Warrington were very good, and it's a long season and we won this fixture last year and it all fell apart after that, just got to put this to bed and Look to improve next week.

No props = no platform. We’ll get better I’ve no doubts but the glaringley obvious weeknesses will always hinder us.

Wow only Feb and this is funniest thing I’ve seen already,your play the ball speed was so much faster than us in first 20 mins of each half,ours was very slow,take the blinkers off.

Well that was depressing. Sadly its gonna be a long hard season playing behind that pack.

Donaldson has been underrated by some people, I was looking forward for him coming off the bench as his attitude and fearless playing style is great to watch. I was gutted he wasn’t offered a new deal at Rovers. He’ll become a fans favourite, I’m certain. Yeah, he’s no 6ft 5”, 20st beast, but has the heart of Godzilla.

Sure I heard mention of a tough pre-season. Been tougher for some than it has for others I reckon, a couple out there looked like men who don't exercise enough.

Pack was our weak link before the season started and the pack us still our weak link.
Ward aside the BR was ordinary we signed a quality BR but played him at prop??
Another tough season ahead albeit i still dont think we'll be as bad as last year.
Also Cam Smith should walk into that Team as should Trout & Holroyd.
For me Cuthbertson Ferres Sutcliffe Jjb Donaldson Mullally Walters Ormanroyd & Ablett should be released next year that should free up cap space for a new look pack with more impact.

The ruck's a big worry. Even the bad sides will be a threat if we defend it like that.

Lets give them more than one game in before saying theyre crap eh?
