| Is Kirke in his last year? if so, then i see us retaining him in case of an injury crisis but don't see much game time for him otherwise, before he is moved on at the end of next season.
One of the two clearly had to go, and it looked like neither would so todays news is good for the club.
Hopefully GH can find another quality prop from somewhere (won't be easy) over the next few months.

Agree with that. I can't see Kirke lasting beyond his current contract. Whilst I appreciate what Bailey has done over the years and his undoubted early quality and potential I think it's been a few years since we saw much quality from Bailey.
Despite making us lighter by a prop I think it's a good move as it'll force us to look for another prop. Hopefully a quality one who can try and take some of the burden when Peacock & Leuluai retire.

So he's committed a breach of his contract equivalent to gross misconduct, for which Leeds could have sacked him but didn't, instead choosing to retain him?

Peacock, Leuluai, Cuthbertson, Kirke, Singleton, Yates.
Don't be surprised to see Leeds go with that prop rotation, backed up by Mulhern and Baldwinson.

It'll be very interesting for 2016. Peacock and Leuluai retiring, Kirke, Singleton, Yates, Mulhern all out of contract at end of 2015. Leaving us with Cuthbertson and Baldwinson until anyone is signed. You could also include Achurch who can play prop.

I wouldn't be suprised and if Cuthbertson performs and Singleton develops well then we'll probably be alright. I was really meaning for 2016 when Peacock & Leuluai have gone. As we need props to step up and take their place and I don't think Bailey & Kirke are capable of doing so.

| The top 25 squad members should be announced within the next week or two as the players return to training next Monday. I would probably say:
Hardaker
T Briscoe
Watkins
Moon
Hall
Mcguire
Burrow
Leuluai
Aiton
Peacock
JJB
Ablett
Sinfield
S Ward
Delaney
Sutcliffe
Kirke
Achurch
Singleton
Cuthbertson
Baldwinson
Tonks
Foster
Keinhorst
Yates
-----
Walters
R Ward
Minns
Mulhern
L Briscoe

I would agree with that apart from Walters who showed more than enough to get in the top 25 over Tonks/Keinhorst/Foster.

| I'd also say Robbie Ward did more than enough in his first team appearances to crack the top 25 as well.
Can't see Minns or Foster being at Leeds for long, if at all next year. Farmed out on loan to a Championship club, ahead of their eventual release.

Robbie ward still eligible for U19s and has signed a full time deal as of yet, which is he only reason I haven't put him into the top 25.
I have heard that Minns could be on his way to Castleford. I think Foster will be just fine, he was one of the star performers for London last season.

Tonk is too old for the U19s next season, signed a permanent FT 3 year deal to return to Leeds, reasons why I think he would be in the top 25.
I can still see Kirke, Minns and Keinhorst leaving permanently, with possibly Tonks and L Briscoe going out on loan.

Foster returned from FT with London, being one of their top players. Minchella still eligible for U19s next season. I could see him going out on loan, like Foster did.
Mulhern is too old to play U19s next season going by his DOB, and still not FT.

Didn't realise minchella was still in U19. That's fair enough then. Really like what I have seen from Mulhern hopefully he makes the squad and gets some game time

| I didn't realise that Duckworth had gone permanently, looked ok in his games for us in 2013.
'Nosey' Parker reported several weeks ago in the League Weekly that Minns was Cas bound, so we shall see.
Tonks was always a regular academy starter with us or the Bulls last year so a year out on loan seems most likely.

| Not quite sure what people see in Foster. Grafts, but that's it. Doesn't win collisions, doesn't break tackles.
Reminds me a lot of Liam Botham. Not good enough for the top level.

The talk up Dudley Hill way reckon that Minicheddar is Bulls bound on loan for 2015

Can only see that being a good thing as he is no where near good enough yet to step up to super league, the lack of a good old fashioned A team is killing a whole generation of players, specially at Leeds.

Foster, Minns and Duckworth all signed one year deals where Leeds couldn't call them back, so they were on Londons books. He seeked permission from London to return home and go to Hunslet, they weren't registered at Leeds at all last season.

The bottom 10 names on that list show we lack depth and quality - a good 13/15 but no more.
