I would go with the same 17 but start Garbutt and JJB for Singleton and Ward. Start heavy to tire them out and then introduce some athleticism down the middle to attack the edges of their pack and the area behind the markers which has brought us plenty of joy against them over the last couple of years.

The discussion was about the selection for the first match of this season. I am not aware that we have selected injured players and as we have only played a couple of friendly matches I do not see how you believe there are players out of form already!

I guess you are still harping back to last season when half the squad was injured for most of the season. If you insist on looking over your shoulder why not go back two seasons when with the same the selection policies we won the treble.

Please re read the discussion and you will see it was about the general criteria for selections and for the first game of this season in particular. You are the one obsessed with bringing the events of last year into most of your posts while most people have moved on. We now have a fresh start hopefully with normal pre season preparations and less injuries so try looking on the bright side for once.

Also proven ability how does a young Prop yet to get a chance in SL "Prove his ability" when btw he's already proven himself against bigger more experienced packs when winning YPOTY at Fev?
Im all for a fresh start & look forward to the new season but lets not try & move the goal posts when your point in this case has been proven to be wrong purely by looking at the most recent events.
