Going to be quite interesting if Featherstone make the Middle 8's.

Whatever the result tonight we are definitely going to be playing away in the first week of the Middle 8's as we requested it because of relaying the Headingley pitch.

They've changed the dual-reg rules for this season haven't they, based on how many DR games a player has already played this season? Can't remember the specifics though.

8 games - play for both.
3-8 games - play for one - Mullally, Handley, Golding.
1-3 games - parent club only - Lilley, Achurch.

I haven't included the three loanees in the above.

As it stands it would be

Home vs Salford, HKR, Leigh, Batley

Away vs Hudds, London, Bradford

Away travels look a bit dodgy to be fair.

Our fixtures -

Home: Hull KR, Salford, Leigh, Batley.
Away: London, Bradford/ Featherstone, Huddersfield.

They'll stay this way as long as Salford lose to Hull FC, Huddersfield lose to Warrington, Batley win vs Swinton

If we drop down to 10th then potentially

Home - HKR, Hudds, London, Bradford

Away - Leigh, Salford, Batley

Wouldn't actually be bothered if Salford leapfrog us this weekend to be honest

Im pretty happy with that, the only one I would swap is London for Leigh
Batley is a nightmare ground that none will want to go to, and we should take big enough crowds to Bradford Fev and Hudds to equal the home crowd and not let the refs just give every 50 50 to the home team because they aren't on sky

I would expect Leeds to win every game -the only tricky one is Huddersfield.

If they can't then all those saying this team will be back at the top next season are probably being a tad optimistic

On that list, I'd say 10th looks better than 9th.

You get Huddersfield at home and three very winnable away games.

I'd say that's eminently winnable.

Whatever our schedule is im confident we'll comfortably survive.
Moving forward however we need fresh faces & new ideas on/off the pitch & hopefully this will happen because the brutal honesty is the year has been unacceptable & heads deserve to roll imo.

Wouldn't be so confident on that yet, not on last nights performance. When you look at the strengthening Salford have just done, and what Leign have been doing, it is not straight forward.

Agree totally on the second point, and I fear fans have short memories after the last couple of weeks. We don't make changes, and we have similar season next year.

Unless Huddersfield win against Warrington then it would be Hkr away and Huddersfield at home !

I know it's a somewhat obvious statement but if we can't get the necessary points against those teams then we don't deserve to be in SL next season.

Last year the Middle 8's table finished

1 - HKR - 14 pts
2 - Widnes - 10 pts
3 - Salford - 10 pts

4 - Wakey - 6 pts
5 - Bradford - 6 pts

6 - Halifax - 4 pts
7 - Sheffield - 4 pts
8 - Leigh - 2 pts

So 5 wins will get you into the top 3, 4 wins (8 points) should be enough but could potentially see you in 4th spot and the Million Pound Game. 3 wins and you're in the MPG or worst.

I would say that no one will probably get 14 points this year. Leigh will be a much better prepared team, with a minimum of six points, and not just replacing the Bradford of last year. Which will ultimately mean the table will be a lot closer and a lot different to last year. That Hull KR team last year, although poor, was much better than the bottom four teams this year.

Leeds will win all there games in the middle 8's, for the opposition might be 1 or games where they could get close.

And the club have requested an away game first so LON HUD/HKR FEV/BRA first up.
