Names or gtfo

I don't think it is so "in the know", nobody knows everything. The game is a community sport, and therefore the community are with these players and officials daily, and things do come out, long before official and that happens often.

For instance, yesterday I posted that two other players other than Baldwinson had also asked to be released from their contract. I know that as fact, as straight from players mouth. I also know as fact that the request initially was end of season, and since changed to sooner, and that Leeds turned down the requests. Hence why I refused to name the players, as talks were still ongoing, with the club trying to persuade otherwise.

I have since heard third hand, not fact, and therefore not really "in the know" that the club have now agreed to release, on the basis of a player they want to bring in. As one of the clubs after our player, also have a player Leeds want, they want our player to go there and arrange a swap. This though is third hand. And I guess this is what Frosties has also heard.

Putting things third hand, or indeed factual never really goes down well on hear, so I can understand the reluctance to name names.

Let me repeat though, the only factual I know is the two players asking to be released from contract.

just say what it is for christs sake! Jeez its only a bloody forum, if you get it wrong you won't be fined heavily or sacked from your jobs

That's a lot of hands, we still need names and Frosties to come back with the info he has.... It's frustrating when something gets mentioned and you have to guess, be far happier being told straight and being cock and bull than this, it looks more like you've heard a rumour yourself and not been told who.

I'm pretty certain what Gotcha says is true, and I can understand why he's not wanting to reveal names at this stage because of the nature of what's going on behind the scenes.
It's not just a case of "oh name names". Like Gotcha I was asked not to tell anyone the name of the player I know. And since it was from someone I respect I'll honour their wishes and I'm pretty certain that's what Gotcha's doing too.

I understand it's frustrating, I feel the same way, I don't know the name of the other player or of the swap deal.

But at least we know what's going on now even if we don't know who it involves.

So thats at least 3 people (on here alone) that claim to know. Not exactly being kept top secret then is it. Name names.

I'll be more than happy to explain my reasonings in not saying but having been not believed before with information, why really should I put it out there?

Interesting and sounds possible but not sure why Clark would be keen at the moment other than Ferres or Burrow could play the role of Parker.

Why would any player be keen to arrive at Leeds atm? Only reasonable explanation would be if the player really wanted to be back in Yorkshire which we've heard Clark does. Add in that it's the logical position we most need to sign someone in and have wanted him before.

Get the logic. big move for a Cas lad. Let's be honest we are just in a guessing game based on other posts. Your idea sounds as likely as any. I don't want Colonel Mustard or Travis Burns.

I can see where the idea comes from for an exchange for Clark with Watkins or Hardaker as all three have lost some status and may benefit with a move and I guess there would be good lines of communication between these two clubs. But I don't see how this will massively shock the whole of SL.

I can also see why those "in the know" would want to protect their sources if this were told in confidence. However if something is told in confidence it should remain in confidence so to post on a public forum sufficient of the confidential story for others to guess the identity of the players involved risks depressing the morale of the team even lower than it is already.

The story is claimed to be massive which, if so, can only involve senior star players and most likely to be those whose bad form suggests their minds are not on their performance on the field. What I would like to know are the reasons behind why the player and the club are unhappy with each other.

I believe the swap deal in question is between Zachery and Konrad Hurrell but i very much doubt this will happen. Hurrell currently earns $500k a year and although the Warriors will contribute towards his wages he still has NRL teams like Manly and Gold Coast chasing him so why would he come to SL at his age??

Not sure why we would want a centre either to be honest even with the way Watkins has played this year.

Also why this game of swapsies would send shockwaves through SL i have no idea either.

Here we go again. Frosties and Gotcha making up more rubbish. If something is so confidential and you've been sworn to secrecy, then why mention anything at all on a public forum? That is attention seeking at it's best.

It wouldn't be shocking but it depends on what people consider shocking. Only JJB and McGuire leaving Leeds would shock me personally and I doubt that would shock the whole of SL. Likewise it's a small group of players who would join us that I'd consider shocking such as Tomkins, Roby and O'Loughlin or a big name from the NRL. Anything else might register a slight bit of shock for Leeds fans and supporters of the other club involved, but not the whole of SL.



Spot on. When the person told them did they say "you can tell people what's happening just don't mention any names". Personally if someone said to me don't mention it to anyone that would mean not saying anything at all, not telling the internet but excluding names. They've obviously not respected the persons wish for confidence at all (but think they have by excluding names) , they've just opened up a game of finger pointing and guess who at all the Leeds players.

Baldwinson is going to hull Kr and Peacocks coming back on a 5 year deal......... Can you feel the shockwaves?

This is classic attention seeking. I'm not saying what gotcha or Frosties have heard isn't true but to come on here and Frosties in perticular claiming he has info that will shock the whole of super league is a cry for attention as clear as day. As others have said if told that info confidentially then be secure enough to keep it to yourself. Don't be so desperate to appear in the know that you post a huge statement but then don't back it up with any info.
