Yes it was a very good day, If i am honest bit of a freak round. usually average High 80's but yesterday was one of them rounds.

I haven't played for about 2 years I used to play most weeks, I used to sometimes play 3 rounds in a weekend, bloody no chance of doing that now I would be lucky if I could play 1 hole

In terns of the playing or the getting round?

Gonna have to try and see if I can play soon cos just before I stopped I got myself some nice clubs that I have wanted for ages. Think a trip to the putting green/driving range may be in order before I tackle a course though!

I have always wanted some of the Taylor made irons so I had to get them when I had the chance, shame they didn't help me get any better though

Got the same driver, but have mizuno Irons and Cleavland lob wedge.


Good to see Garcia in the mix in a major (or any tourniment) again.

Yeah I like Garcia, he seems to have been around forever. If he could putt he would have won a load more tourneys in the last few years and maybe even a few majors. He still seems to re-grip a lot before he hits a shot although nowhere near as much as he used to do. I remember watching a tourny on sky(think it was in South Africa) a few years ago and he must have re-gripped about 25-30 times and he just snapped and said to his caddie " I can't fookin hit it" and raised his club up as if he was about to hit his caddie!

Nearly got myself a set of Ping i15s last year but decided to stick with the clubs Iv had for the past 10 years. The only difference between the i3s and the i15s is that the new ones have a lower trajectory which helps in windy conditions (as Ferdy will know that bloody 6th hole has a gale blowing into your face on a calm day!) but apart from that a 9 iron still goes 150 and a 3 iron still goes 240 so I couldn't allow myself to spend £600 on them. Nice clubs though.

I don't think Woods is that far off as some of the commentators are saying either obviously most of them(like me and I guess most other Europeans) want McIlroy to win, but if he has a stinker like Dustin Johnson has in the last round the last few years in majors it wouldn't suprise me if Woods sneaked in.

No didn't played somewhere called Brandon where lads from work play. Not the best course but it is a cheap round. Yes the 6th at fulneck is bloody windy all the time. My favorite hole is the 4th as I got a hole in one there, but was playing on my own


luckily there is a old bloke who always walks round in a morning (I assume collecting balls) and he saw it and gave me a clap which was nice.

I hate the BBC's golf coverage, I would much rather have 60 seconds of adverts every so often than listen to that doddering old fool Peter Alliss talk about flowers/his old man or some old dear's birthday party at some golf club no-body has ever heard of/cares about.



I do like Ken Brown though, just not enough to put up with Alliss or Sam Torrance
