Where is the gap between the South and western terrace in the top picture? In fact although you can not see from that picture the original did not have a gap between the south and eastern terrace either.

I think they've just done it to make you (and whoever it was recently saying Leeds would be temporarily moving out after the Castleford Home game) look a little less well informed that's all.
We'll have to wait and see who has the last laugh though and I haven't lost faith in you yet.

| I can see a gap on the top picture. Looks a good 8-10 metres too. Also thats where it stops now, the only differeence is that there is a small bit of tarracing joining the 2.

| I'm not arguing.....simply seeking enlightenment in the murky world of balance sheets....
I think we may all have been lead astray by looking at the artist's impression of the whole ground, with the very nice new North Stand setting the stadium off nicely.

You need to look at them again Harrigan.
The picture announcing the big screen clearly shows the south stand coming right up to the west stand, and clearly shows a big gap between the end of the brick built turnstile area and the end of the new south stand.
The new plans out now show that same brick built turnstile area coming flush to the end of the southstand, and now about a 8-10 metres gap left between the South Stand finishing and the west stand starting.

That kit is a bit Widnes-esque from when they were in SL previously.
Perhaps it is a vision of Widnes next season at Headingley?

| I think everyone will be more impressed with it, once it's up.
What's with the new scoreboard though, why is it not in the middle? I assume the old one is going to be knocked down?
Could Carnegie not have gone a few months without a scoreboard, whilst Leeds put a new one in.

Why on Earth would we put it in the middle?? That would mean there'd be a possibility of everyone in the whole ground being able to see it. Clearly, you're not from around here.

I think you need to look again and turn the contrast on your monitor down. Theres a massive gap on the original pic.

I don't need to do anything. Are you sure you are looking at the right ones?
It is absolutely clear the one with the new scoreboard shows the brick turnstyles with a massive gap between them and the end of the South Stand. With the South stand going all the way to the western terrace.
The new picture out now shows the same brick turnstyles coming flush to the end of the southstand and about a 8m gap between the south stand and the western terrace.

^^^ There is a clear gap between the Southstand and the West Terrace, as I said, of about 8-10m... the same as the new one below.
Maybe it's just the angle thats confusing you.

| The in goal areas appear a little on the large side, that's if we're supposed to take the new artist impressions at all seriously.

No, the southstand ends where the west stand starts. What you see on the picture is the back of the west stand, where the screen is. Accepted there is a gap between the southstand and the screen, but there is several steps of terracing between that.
More importantly though, is that the top picture shows that brick turnstyles with a gap from the end of the southstand, but the new picture shows them flush to the southstand end.

| the length of both appears similar (the pylon and it's shadow show the gap in the older picture), the new one is much shorter though, in the artists impression all the stands appear of similar height but the new plans make it shorter
not sure why there are gaps in the corner now between the carnegie and the south stand and in why there will be one in future between the west stand and the south

| Also... the badges have switched sides.
On the first, you can clearly see the RU badge but no RL badge, suggesting the RU badge is on the left (as you look at the stand from St. Michael's Lane).
Yet on the image released today... you can clearly see the RL badge is on the left!

I honestly dont think you realise where where the South Stand stops in the 1st pic. Either way though, the new pics show the SS finishing exactly where the current one does.
