I agree with you and I fail to understand why the main talk is to first get rid of three of our most experienced players whose work rate and enthusiasm has not diminished. Yes JJB, Ablett and Delaney are past their best but as squad members, perhaps with less playing minutes, they still have a part to play and perform better than the likes of Ferres, Thompson and Peteru who is now being played as a second rower. Ward is injured for more time than not and Cam Smith is he only youngster ready for more minutes so even with new recruits we need experienced squad men to rotate.

IMO opinion our main problem is up front and we should start with at least 2 maybe 3 props as our ageing back rowers too often have to do the work of the front rowers. This does not mean we should not recruit a big fast hard running back rower if we can.

I've been saying this all season, can't believe how many fans applaud when we do this. You've got to try score when in an attacking position, it's as simple as that.

Couldn't agree more. Slowing the game down by drilling a ball into touch was exactly what Toronto wanted us to do last night and yet people was applauding.

Why on last tackle do we hand the ball over near opponents line? opposition then have 6 tackles to get downfield, you can drop the ball onto your foot and let opposition dive on it and then they only have 5 tackles. just amateurish coaching methods and that is game wide.

You're probably right though getting rid is probably easier than getting decent replacements. I'd imagine any fannying around with short-term contracts for the decrepit is to cover the all too-likely scenario that we can't actually persuade anyone a great deal better to sign up.

Whilst Freddie is clearly on the wind up - there is an element of truth in what he's saying.

We've got a full-time super league squad, who were crowned champions less than a year ago, yet we've made a struggle of surviving the middle 8s against the worst SL sides, Championship sides full of failed super league players and part timers.

Yes Sinfield can't really be blamed for being in the position we are, but things have not improved either since he and Lowese arrived, I'd argue they've gone backwards at a greater speed than they were. Granted they set their goal on survival, but it's still a terrible showing during their tenure all the same.

I'm not saying we should bin him off, but it's far from a good start. This off season and subsequent recruitment is HUGE - another year like this one and we'll be in Bulls type of risk territory, people will stop paying their hard earned.
