I think that describes our game tonight in general. A few touches of quality in a game we never really seemed to be troubled. Attack seemed to click ok, certainly better than last year. Defence was pretty solid and when broken scrambled rather than being in full blown panic mode.

Parcell was keen with and without the ball and him and Burrow (who was good at scrum half) will give other teams fits alternating who goes in at 9 through a game. I think both Burrow and the team benefitted from him being able to choose when to inject himself in the game, and the defence likewise benefitted from having a proper 9 defending the middle.

Decent showing for a preseason showing. Two of the biggest worries for most, Golding at FB and Burrow starting at HB both produced good performances which is encouraging. Parcell for a guy who hasn't been in the country very long did well and more time/gelling with teammates could be a very good signing.

never had any doubts about golding. for me it was when not if he produced the goods

it's just his size that is a worry for me, the ability is certainly evident.

Likewise, his size has always been the key issue.

I thought Golding showed how hard he's been working wrt reading the game from FB especially defensively.
Wrt Parcell i thought he was very tidy & potentially the quality 9 we've screamed out for.

The fact you've had to blank out some of the words speaks volumes.

There is plenty of songs that have industrial language in them look at Delaney for example.

I know and I cringe every time it's "sung".

End of the day the songs are sung for atmosphere at games so lyrics shouldn't matter unless they really discriminate a player.

Well after being gutted about the loss of sagayero I have to admit parcell seems to be showing massive promise for mine similar to Lunt with more to come if he can improve and up his workrate we could have a budding bedsy.
Having slated hetherington lately have to give it where it's due.

"If he can improve and up his workrate" enough he might just become a combination of Bedsy, Lunt, Hetherington..and maybe David Ward too... all rolled into one
