One win in three under the new coaching regime is hardly earth shattering. The win was at home against the worst team ever to "compete" in Super League. Let us wait until the end of the season to see if this squad has any powers of redemption before we start blaming the coach. These players are professionals and should be going out to deliver their best, I have yet to see that this season. Will Sinny be ruthless at the end of the season and bit farewell to Jonesy, Delaney et al? Lets wait and see.

League consistency has been awful under McDermott, that's just an observable fact. Look at the 8 years he's been in charge and compare with the previous 8 years. 4 SL titles in each section but the league consistency has been completely different. And there's a downward trend. 5 times when he's been in charge we've finished 5th place or lower - which didn't happen once in the previous 8 seasons.
Some people did mention his record at London and how their league form deteriorated under his tenure at the time he became our coach.

How can you tell whether the squad is getting traction when they are playing the worst sides in SL and Championship sides what does that prove - beating Halifax/London should be a given even at the current standard of performance

In respect of tv coverage, I have no idea about the Sky deal (maybe an international music mogul could assist...?) but would they not try to show us v Toronto and/or Toulouse, considering the real possibility that this will be an SL fixture next year, as well as the fact that they're 'new world' teams?

Me too. Can't understand the negativity shown towards Toronto. They are a good model, an bring money into the game, and open up a new market.

This could be very interesting. You need to win 5 games to be pretty safe. Win 4 and you could well finish 4th and be in the million pound game. The game against Toronto will be very interesting, we should beat the other championship teams, but with the exception of Widnes, we could easily lose the games against Hull KR and Salford (again).

It's time for a brutal post season cull and pre season training needs to be at a different level to whatever went on last winter. We will have nobody playing for England. So it should be full on from mid November.

Hetherington is giving it plenty about the 450 seats in the banqueting area in the new stand. He needs to get something to watch on the paddock. Throwing Sinfield under the recruitment bus is just hiding.
