He does alot more good than negative, and his kick returns so far this season have had serious interest.

The difficult conditions prevented a classic but a good win by Leeds who took the game to Warrington from the start. I can see why Burrow got the MOM as he was a constant threat has been a major contributor to our success so far this season. But I thought Sinfield just shaded MOM with a superb allround display. He exerted control throughout with sound defence, his place kicking was immaculate as usual and two of his out of hand kicks led to tries.

Big effort again from Delaney with JP & Leuluai the most effective props. Webb is coming into the line with pace, McGuire has got his sharpenss back and is defending well and our young centres are growing in stature every week. The whole side is playing with a buzz and sharpness and looking confident. If we can keep this form for when the grounds get firmer we should chalk up some big scores.

Absolutely! The pick of our forwards last night imo.

Was going to raise the point about Webb, the silly penalties could prove to be really costly, and his letting the ball bounce was criminal, although credit to a good kick in difficult conditions. However there isn't another fullback at the club who brings to our attack what he does, last night showed that.

McGuire was superb again. Watkins 2nd and Sinny 3rd IMO. Good game, as has been said not a classic but that's three pretty decent games we've had at HQ this year already.

Too many errors to be considered a classic but a good hard game and I enjoyed it.

I can't believe the stick Webb gets. he's one of our most crucial players. It's like fans shut their eyes for 79 mins and only open them when there's an error.

I thought McGuire looked very good again and agree with all the shouts for players on this thread. However, can't believe nobody has mentioned Ablett. 70 monumental minutes. He's a rock and is becomng leader of the pack in JJBs absence.

I thought JP looked off the pace. Not fully fit?

Is this good start to the season by Leeds a cause for concern?

I'm more impressed by St Helens form at this stage of the season.

JP is timing his peak for next years World Cup when he's 36. At least he'll be younger than Morley.

Everyone knows the big clubs have to play crap and lose at the start of the season, so they can use their set allocation of good form at the end of the season when the trophies are handed out.

As the sky commentators keep saying, teams can learn something from leeds last season - by playing crap and losing at the start of the season.

Saints early season form has been especially impressive.

To be honest don't think many are giving Webb stick on this thread. He can be a bit of a liability at times, but he always has been. His attacking positives out weigh his defensive flaws and for me looks very good, back to near his best.
He has always played with aggression and I personally wouldn't want that to change,

A couple of things suprised me in lasts nights game, i was expecting you to win by a wider margin given the fact that you were at home and we were mising the likes of Michael Monaghan, Chris Bridge, Brett Hodgson, David Solomona and Ben Harrison, its encouraging that we only lost by 8pts as we also lost Steffan Ratchford during the game which disrupted us quite a bit plus Carvell was groggy for a good 10 - 20 mins.

The other thing that suprised me is you seemed to favour attacking our left rather than our right, with Chris Bridge not playing we had a 2nd rower/utility player playing at centre in Matty Blythe and Joel Monaghan on the wing who isn't the quickest winger in the league by any stretch of the imagination. Ryan Hall looks to be in top form and Zak Hardaker looks to be a handful, i thought you may have exploited our right hand side more.

You got the 2pts which is all that matters at the end of the day.

I think that the Wolves can maybe take more from last night's game than the Rhinos.
As has been said thay were without a number of players who will improve the side, they only lost by 8 points away from home &, but for a bit more composure from Higham, they could have scored a try at a critical point in the game from which we may not have recovered.
The return fixture at the HJ should be a cracker.

Us attacking down Wire's left had more to do with us using Watkins as much as possible and, let's face it, he outplayed Atkins.

Watkins does look good and seems to have a good understanding with BJB. Thought Webb looked dangerous down that side as well with the above two

I would like to see some who keep quoting about wire were missing so an so and they will be a better side when they do play, you cann only beat whats in front of you, there is nothing to say had they been playing the result would have been different, last season when they hammered us twice we probs had players missing, just swallow it up and move on I say, ITS A SQUAD GAME.
