| Last year when we attacked it just looked flat and no runners etc this year especially in last two games there appears to be no structure and we just throw it round with no clue.
On the lack of pace on sinfield he chased breirs down and made ground on him. Breirs has no pace but is still a good 6.

| We look like a poorly coached team at the moment, and I don't necessarily see that improving in the short term. We seem to have "adopted" a more flamboyant attacking style, but don't have the players capable of pulling it off.
We seem to have forgotten that it's only worth throwing the ball around when you have disrupted the opposition defence (it's pointless throwing the ball from side to side against an organised defence). I am concerned about the lack of both defensive structure and tackling technique, which have deteriorated significantly since 2007.
Keith Senior and Ian Kirke are both complete passengers at the moment, and neither have earned a shirt this year. Buderus is looking like a 60 minute hooker not an 80 minute hooker, showing up very well in patches, but going missing in others. The kids are all willing, and are (understandably) making some mistakes, and they, along with Sinfield, are the only ones really worth watching at the moment. Cross is willing but useless, and Hauraki had a stinker tonight, so is our recruitment up to scratch?
With over 2 months to go before we get our best back and best forward fit again, this has the hall marks of a long season...

Sinfield was our best player tonight while Webb on attack these days resembles a headless chicken. He seems to have lost that vital extra pace and his passing keeps getting intercepted. Lets hope he can regain some form.

Cannot agree about your buderus comments.
Warrington must have scored nearly 30 points whilst he was off the park.
He comes back on in 2nd half and we suddenly start to look like we know what we are supposed to be doing

Webb for me has lost alot of pace. Summed up for me in the hull game when he got injured. Few years ago that would have been a try. Also on kick return he seems to shy away from collision. I remember long time ago he seemed a stronger faster player.
My big worry is peacock is head and shoulders above other forwards we have and he won't be around for too much longer

| I'm more disappointed that we missed out on Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook. I can't imagine that he went to Saints for much more than Cross came to Leeds, and when you consider that our coach came from Quins, maybe that says more about us/him than Cross?
We are lacking in the front row at the moment and although we have Leuluai, Peacock and Bailey missing there is a gaping hole behind them, but the style of rugby we are playing is almost papering over this particular crack...

Cross is a typical Leeds overseas signing of old. He has not really impressed at all. And after his late hit do we think we might be another prop down next week?

Agree would like to have seen LMS and if I am honest it's a interesting point raised regarding mac I hadn't considered.
Macdermott in post interview said we "had a bit more biff and bash about us" must have missed that I thought we were lacking in biff and bash

| We may have had more biff and bash about us than the week before, but it was hopeless. Biff and Bash doesn't matter if you are trying to throw the ball around without actually using the biff and bash first........
Nice to see that the coach recognises that we are not doing the basics very well. I'd say we are not doing them at all. I'd love to know what the players are doing through the week because we don't seem to be improving on a weekend.

Just what's he been doing all pre-season then ? Surely that's the time to sort out if your team can do the 'basics' very well or not.
And if they cant, which the first four showing of the season tend to suggest that they can't, why-the-hell change to team's game plan to something that requires immpecable basic skills ?

I don't even think we had more biff and bash. Good defencive effort in first 10 mins but that's it. I seem to recall a interview from one of the players saying they are doing alot more work with the ball in hand? Doesn't show on a weekend

| The Harlem Globetrotters would be struggling to play with the ball in the way we seem to want to at the moment. It's no good scoring one or two tries per game of sensational plays, if we concede three or four off them when the ball goes to ground.
Check out the handling errors and missed tackle stats from tonight, if you have the stomach for it that is. It's not rocket science to play to your strengths and frankly at the moment we are doing anything but...

| Get used to it. Until Kylie, JP and Mags come back we're going to be the whipping boys. Happy viewing vs Saints and Wigan thats for sure. 3 of the 4 first choice props are injured what can seriously be expected. You take Morley, Carvell and Wood out of the Wire side along with a couple of first choice back rowers + Briers and hey the result would of turned on its head.

Harsh on your lot, but then I suppose it is an easy excuse to make for a Leeds supporter who isn't used to losing. You have more than enough quality in your side to be serious challengers for the top berth in the league, but you are coached by a clown. We (Quins) have a worse side than last season, yet looking to be faring a lot better, even at this early stage. Player by player, we are well down on your squad, yet we still turned you over. Big problems at Leeds, IMO.
