I see RBS are still continuing with their Six Nations sponsorship until the end of the current contract in 2010, despite pulling out altogether from F1 leaving Williams to find around £10m a year in lost revenue.
Nice to know that as RBS shareholders our public money is being ploughed into the competing Unions.

They're staying with Williams until the end of their contract in [url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/front_page/7911039.stm2010[/url, but stopping all trackside advertising after this year.
I'm guessing the F1 stuff is due to existing contracts, which they'd have to pay for anyway, but of course that doesn't stop questions being raised about the 6 Nations sponsorship.

| he may be the best winger, I've not seen enough of him to comment, but the best player? Do me a favour. Wrong position. With positions so specialist in Union, if anyone from that code would be there, it would have to be a centre, number 8 or fly-half I would say.

Under the ELV's the touching the corner flag is not classed as being out of play. They are basically there for show only these days in Rugby Union.

| Quote ="Dave Heron's Moustache"I always remember Laurie Daley being interviewed on Breakfast TV during one Aussie tour (or maybe World Cup). The conversation with the BBC stiff in the studio went along these lines:
BBC Stiff: "Luarie, can you explain the difference between Rugby League and Rugby Union?"
Laurie Daley: "Rugby What?"'" I once saw a quote in a book, (can't remember who said it), and it went something like:
"If I played Rugby Union now, I could keep playing till I'm old and frail"
"If I played Rugby league, I wouldn't last 5 minutes"

Terry Holmes once said on Look North that the only things League had in common with Union were the ball and the posts.

I'd take the Wolfman every time. Depending on how Sunday goes of course.

| Williams is one of the very few rugby union players who excites me when he gets the ball, he has an excellent step and good acceleration. He is a very similar player to Matt Bowen from NQC, except I firmly believe Bowen is a more rounded rugby player.
As for best player in the World, it's hard to cross-over. Richie McCaw is head and shoulders the best union forward in the world, IMO, but I couldn't see a role for him in the Rhinos pack. Equally Jamie Peacock would not be effective in a Union pack
But in the backs, give me Greg Inglis over Shane Williams anyday, and that's at either code.

| Gorden Tallis called the Wallabies RU players "The cappuccino cowboys", before throwing down the gauntlet of a match between the 2 codes, Tallis said that he would have been able to raise 1 million aussie dollars at least, and all for charity as well, from the sponsors that would have been interested in such a game
"The cappuccino cowboys" surprisingly declined Tallis's challenge
