The issue with the disciplinary is complete lack of consistency from week to week. Sangare and Smith copped bans this week for offences that were barely penalties.In Sangare case its third time hes been up this season so that could be a factor rather than the actua crime. Ackers and O Connor both got off a couple of weeks ago for far worse tackles! Looking at Wire whilst I can understand the ban was Vaughan tackle any worse than Harry Smith at start of the season.

Fortunately for us Warrington will be missing several forwards. Including Vaughn who is suspended, Vaughn for me is one of the best forwards in the competition.

Agree with all of that. Unfortunately rugby league and rugby union are facing some staggering claims from former players. A substantial amount of these claims are supported by factual medical evidence. The clubs are concerned that the insurance companies will not foot the bill for these claims.
This on the basis that the clubs were grossly negligent in clearly playing people who had suffered major concussions.

Unfortunately we are Leeds and classed as frivolous. We could change either players name by deed poll to Morgan Knowles and see if that helps.

Excellent idea, haven’t taken much notice who is on the disciplinary committee. Someone mentioned Paul Cullen, he was an absolutely gentleman playing the game, on the other hand maybe not.

There is a difference between the evidence linking brain injury to contact sports, which seems pretty compelling and not a shock; and clubs acting negligently. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Rather than litigation maybe benevolent funds should be set up. The point is with disciplinary action; do the bans help protect players from brain injury? Cam Smiths doesn’t and is just weak. Sangare’s made some contact so I can wear that as long is it is consistently applied.

The MRP are doing their best to ruin the game. Smith's ban for you is an absolute joke. Richardson should have been banned for his pathetic dive.

Appeal put in to overturn Smith's Ban. Will it be successful, Will it stay, Will it get extended, place your bets now please.

See it's happening in football as well now. Prem players blaming heading the ball for causing damage.
We're entering really dangerous territory for professional sport here.
Elite athletes have to push their body to the limits to compete at the top.
And then come back to sue the sport after they retire.
Top level football will survive, but any potentially successful claims will have very widespread effects in terms of precedent. Floodgates will open.
Many other sports, including RL may not survive.

Smiths appeal successful. He plays.

Any sort of common sense and he wouldn't of had any charge to answer. The fact he still has a grade A is farcical,should be no charge and a written apology for being stupid from the RFL.

Richardson should receive a warning for his theatrics. It needs stamping out.

Maybe it's just me but I find Richardson a really irritating player to watch.

The magic sponge has worked wonders for Danny Richardson's recovery, as he has recovered sufficiently from his whiplash injuries (sustained in Cameron's brutal challenge) and is named in Castleford's squad for this weeks game.

Thought that was just me. The younger version of Sam Tompkins likewise, now I am Tompkins biggest fan, best commentator/pundit on tv. Funny old world.

On a wider point, when did it become a thing for players to fling their arms in the air looking for a penalty at every ptb? Noticed it this season, but maybe they've always done it?

It has been going on quite a while and it is totaly infuriating. I wish the referee's would say "I'm reffing this game, not you" & give a penalty against for discent. Would ruin the game for a while until the perps learned but they would eventually.

And the same for falling over / diving when they get a nudge off the ball or at PTB area, penalise for play acting and turning the game & players into footballers.

Pretty much agree though I'd leave decisions on diving to to the panel. The refs get enough grief without having to adjudicate on dives that half the crowd are calling out as serious foul play, having been taken in.

Infuriating it is. Agree that a penalty would quickly sort it out. That, or a quick blast of the Macarena from the pa system.
