| Haven`t read the thread in full to see where the big slanging match started but its a shame, I thought both sides were pretty poor, the game was there for the taking for either team, I think we just wanted it more and just thought your discipline let you down badly.'"
Yep, discipline is a major problem for us at the moment.
We will struggle to win games with 2 sin binnings per game and 2 or 3 players sat in the stands due to bans.
Looks like Tetevano's season is done - even if we make the GF!!!

| Agar extremely unhappy with the sin binnings we’re getting. I think he’s calling for a meeting with officials about it. Thinks we’re being hard done to a bit

If you’re going to pull someone up for making a spelling mistake whilst pulling someone up on their grammar, try to pull the correct person up.

Their.
DBoy using the old clichés RLHQ and buying success and thanks to Wakey Leeds don`t win the league
Wow you are really going for them there DBoy.
It`s Wigan who run the RL didn`t you know
Not sure how many we bought from the golden generation that won more SL trophies than you`ve probably had decent hot dinners.
And if it makes you happy beating Leeds and languishing at the bottom then knock yourself out pal.
I`m sure Carter would prefer to be higher up the table.
Good on Wakefield for their win they deserved it and we didn`t.
No excuses from me we lost to the better side on the day.

| First time in weeks I’ve been on the account.
Another poor team performance with an overall terrible game. Well done to Wakefield, playing in their cow shed of a stadium is terrible.
How many more years will we have to put up with the team rebuild, we are now in our sixth year, in fifth / sixth position, and our standard of play has been generally poor for the last few seasons. Last night game on the TV Saints v Wire was a cracking game, they produced their rubbish having played in similar COVID conditions, both teams having injuries problems and both teams changing their players on a regular basis, and playing games at ad hoc intervals.
GH must have us for idiots, next year will be year 7 of the rebuild since SInny, peacock and Lului left. I know this will cause a reaction, I wish it would cause a reaction within the club, because until these kids come through we will be no more than a mid table team.
To cap it all we now seem to have a player on the pitch who can’t keep on the pitch and stupid chap gets sin binned every game.

| if Woolf was in charge at leeds would we be better?
if the answer is yes then shouldn't we be going all out for a top aussie coach, even though agar has done well and is a nice guy?
just throwing it out there

A ‘top’ Aussie coach is no guarantee of anything, we’ve had our best periods in the last 20 years with 2 coaches that were not ‘top’ anything when we got them onboard.
Agar deserves next year hopefully with some halfbacks available and more than half the squad not injured
Id also say Woolf inherited a far better team than Agar did at Leeds, makes his job a hell of a lot easier

I’m inclined to agree, my only issue is I don’t think we will get a proper squad together, at least not this season, so we will have to judge on what we have done.

Yes agree about this season, but it isn’t over yet, weve still got a chance of getting 5th spot and giving it a go, having said that it might actually be better in the long run not to go too far in the playoffs and prep for next year when at least weve got a chance of actually having some halfbacks on the pitch at the same time

I just wonder whether we are 2-3 too many injuries accrued in the squad now to be competitive even if we do make the play-offs.
Even a couple of returning players are unlikely to come straight in 100% on form too, when we need it most.
All season we've been making field position for fun, but that seemed to change against Wakey and that compressed our halves and back line too much given our absentees there.

We just seemed really low on energy on Monday even the try celebrations seemed very muted, contrast that with against Wigan and there was a big difference.

| The constant changes make it all feel week to week as opposed to building up for the sharp end. Suspect the serious contenders will begin to up their games from about now

Having flat performances is inevitable - you can get them even with a nice weekly format, never mind the crazy season we've had. Stinker or stonker against Hull - anyone's guess.
It is very difficult to see the side we have limping into the back end of the season troubling Cats or Saints.
For me the Wakey result reinforced our calls for another first grade prop. Without Mik, having Tommy still quite injury prone and then Prior out of form, Tet with discipline problems, Thompson just not good enough at prop, and King on the way out... we couldn't create a platform against at best a mid-table opposition.
We don't really have anyone ready to come in from Academy at prop and so I think we need someone good up front. It gives us more options on rotation, more options at loose forward, and more resiliency for injury so it's a "no-brainer" for me if we can find the right player.
We pretty much have the halves fixed up for next year in theory but I actually think Austin's form will be important for us.
Reasonably happy with the side otherwise for 2022. A really good pre-season is so important for us, with a young side and an obvious need to get some field work in from the coaching staff.
I'd like to see us run with Newman at 3 and Broadbent at 4 for a few games. Not ideal for Jack on that left edge missing the first choice 11 and 7 but it is what it is.

Agree. Given the contrast a few days before at Wigan I wondered if there had been some trouble at mill, whatever we were subdued from the off.

| We should though in mitigation a few of our young players, not to mention a couple of our older ones, must be utterly drained. Back in the day, when we used to moan about the easter fixtures, it was common to see that big performance on the thurs/friday against top table opposition only to back up with a feeble show on the monday against a side we'd otherwise have taken apart. Well, every week is pretty much like that now. In that light it's maybe surprising our recent run of better form lasted as long as it did.

| The players are knackered, the coaches have little opportunity to work with them, and form is quite fickle.
Physically, how you get through three SL games in 7 days or so.. I would literally die.

This.
I think people have expectations that are too high in the current climate. I've got a mate who's played NRL amd SL and he said the recovery for 1 game a week is vital. It's crazy what the players are being put through now.

I thought over the games with Leeds this season we have been unlucky not take every game but as Leeds are a mid table team at best Luke us I suppose they go either way
