Oh you will be, one day you'll be telling teenagers, "I remember buses" or "I remember The Arc in Headingley" or "I remember Headingley" and they'll look at you and say "Zeepneepdordle f'tang f'tang, barblebeepoop doop" because of course those young kids won't be speaking your language anymore.

| I had a night out in Leeds on Saturday - went in The Scarborough at 4pm then at 10pm went for a curry over the road, left there at midnight to drive home after a bloody good night and feeling down with the kids and everything being out on a Saturday night and stuff.
Then on Sunday my youngest daughter tells me she was out in Leeds on saturday night too and she was in a bar not far away from where I was - but she didn't GO OUT until after 11pm.
So when I was coming home and ready for me bed, she was just going out.
The world has gone mad.

On college nights we'd finish about 9pm and then make our way down to the bus station stopping in the Tam o'Shanter for a few pints and a scabby cornish pasty that had been under the plastic dome on the bar since at least the week before, heated up in grill at the back of the bar you'd have it shoved towards you piping hot and running in grease, no wonder my stomach if f***ed with all the rubbish I used to eat
'"
speaking of which, Just seen mentioned on a couple of places that Hoagys is due to be demolished, I presume as part of the Eastgate redevelopment.

Curse this here pub, 'twas a wicked temptress during my two years at Kitson College of Technology for during our day release course and the night school I was often to be found within its public bar rather than at my lectures resulting in me sitting my ONC exam and walking out after 10 minutes having not answered one question, I think I still hold the world record at the college for having scored 1 mark in an exam for spelling your name correctly.
Fortunately a mix-up and a change of staff at my employer meant that my requirement to attend college and obtain a qualification was swept under the carpet and forgotten, ah the days when you could get a job by doing the job and not needing a degree in whatever.

| An occasional lunchtime haunt when I worked in Dudley House - now renamed as something or other as part of The Light redevelopment. Used to be on the corner next to what is now Bar Risa on Albion Street?

Ah a pint of Tetleys mild, a pork pie and Eddie O'Donnell's Jazz Band. What more could you ask?

| Never went inside the estate but they were certainly a landmark if you used the Central Bus Station as often as I did as a kid and when you read about their history then they were indeed a brave concept.
But "Queenies Castle" ?
No please, no reminders.

| I really like the classic Art Deco stands in the bus station.
I heard (maybe apocryphal) that the Quarry Hill flats had a very sophisticated rubbish disposal shute system that had to be discontinued due to fears that they were being used to dispose of the bodies of children.

I had heard about the rubbish disposal there but not about body disposal!

| Were there ever two main railway stations in the centre of Leeds? I have a vague memory of going to Warrington on a steam train from a 'Leeds Central' station in the early 60's. Did this then become Leeds City Station or were there two and Leeds Central closed...or did I dream the whole damn thing?

There were two stations. Leeds City (where it is now) and Leeds Central (situated between Wellington Street and Whitehall Road) approximately [url=http://goo.gl/maps/9oJUYHERE[/url.

Am I right in thinking that the remaining stone building used to be a train lift, or did I just make that up?
