| Getting away is not that bad to be fair, probably no worse than getting away from Wigan, which is always a pain when they turn the exit road into a one way. As I say, it's not cheap but it's pretty easy to sort out online, and takes all the hassle out of it if theres enough of you in the car to share the costs.

| There'll be 6 of us (call it 4 as two are kids). I think we paid around £4 each on the tube - I reckon the parking permit would be less than this?

| Probably, I think it's £28 per car for a pre-paid space, and about £17.50 per car for blue badge spaces.

| Marylebone Station to Baker Street ... you can walk it in ten minutes.
Then get the tube.
They put on plenty of extra trains for the journey back and, to be fair, I have never had to wait more than say ten minutes for a tube to come back to Central London.

| The walk to the fridge from the settee is only a matter of yards and a couple of doors to negotiate.
And the dog, don't trip over the dog.

Should be easy enough for her to fetch you the beers then. You're too kind sometimes.

Can't you wedge the doors open?
Not the fridge door. Beer gets warm then. I don't keep beer in the fridge myself, but if you do, it'd get warm. Probably everything else in the fridge should be kept cold too. Otherwise what have you got it in the fridge for? Unless you just ran out of cupboard space. Up to you what you do with your fridge really. I was just saying.

| On a slightly related note, I've managed to drop on a bargain return train ticket to London from Sheffield for £32. It's worth looking at Megabus.com for cheap train fares.

I suppose I could train the dog to go to the fridge, and probably open it and fetch a beer, and probably open the beer too, he'll do anything for a little morsel of Asda cheap hot dogs (do people really feed that s[ihit[/ie to their children, I buy them for the dog) problem is that the hot dogs are in the fridge and once I teach him to open the fridge door, select a beer, test its temperature, open it and pour it for me it won't be too long before he spots the tin of hot dogs, gets the tin opener out and helps himself while I'm sat there two rooms away wondering where the bloody hell my beers gone.

| With Wembley Central and Wembley Park fully operational and within walking distance, whilst it is a pain, the closure of Wembley Stadium is not a great loss.
I used it to get the final the other year from Marylebone and there was hardly anyone on that train going up there ....
