Well done to the players and coaching staff for turning the ship around this year in the end. They do deserve some credit, even if most of us can’t look past the huge relief.

Would love to finish by beating Salford and Warrington now the pressure is off. Let’s get one or two of next year’s prospects on the field and get them some more first team experience.

Agree. If the club doesn’t show some real intent to step forward next season there will be a growing anger among the fans after a mostly garbage 4 years with one shining light in 2017.

For what it’s worth I do think the team is moving in the right direction but some more big calls ahead as you say.

Lets not start looking through rose tinted glasses we have been bloody awful and a win at star studded London does not change that , we are miles off where we need to be and Agar is not the man for me and we need a quality half back and Prop at least . Not sure what attributes Mellor is going to bring either

It’s not rose tinted glasses, Agar took over when we were in the , something was seriously wrong. I’m not saying he definitely deserves the job but he has done a very good job in very difficult circumstances and he does deserve some credit.

Its the WORST Super League in history , if we could not get above London and Midgets that would be unbelievable although at times i did think that might be the case , i think the minimum any coach should have been expected to do was to keep us up and that is what he did and nothing above that . So at work when i do the minimum that is expected of me i do not get credit for it .

The team looked shot and there was obviously a lot of ill feeling around the place with Furner, it was a tough job for anyone to come in under those circumstances

Agar has done a good job in difficult circumstances. Whether he deserves it fulltime, depends who the other options are imo. I think that we could do worse than him carrying on for another season.

People have given him credit. But on the other hand lets not go over the top. This squad, although far inferior to what we have been used to this century still always had way too much quality to be embroiled in a relegation scrap and should never have been in one. Add to that the luxury of being able to bring in difference making players late in the season.

I would much rather place my praise right now on Danny Ward and London team. A club laughed at as the worst team ever in SL possibly before the season. To take it this late in the day and to put the living crap up the arises of half the league up to now really deserves credit. They do look done now though or are they?...

I would take Salfords coach now , he for me should win Coach of the year with Danny Ward as runner up
