Absolutely right, it was known Leeds offered Vuniyayawa a new deal but he went to Salford for better terms, and we we’re looking for a new prop but there wasn’t any decent signings available, hence we’ve stuck with Thompson. There’d be no point just signing another Thompson. We’ll again be looking to upgrade Thompson with a better prop for 2023.

I've thought this for a while and my guess is it's Strength and Conditioning and general lifestyle. Maybe the wrong type of training, recovery or diet advice or even worse non compliance particularly on the diet/lifestyle .....

For example.....I'd love to know which players go out binge drinking after a Thursday / Friday game....or those that make other rubbish choices like poor food etc.

I've had conversations about this with people who have suggested things like 'these are young men and they need to' or some such rubbish .....professional athletes make sacrifices .....for thier playing career years at least they need to not do the weekly blow outs as many men thier age would ......it all adds to increased risk of injury .....

Maybe the culture really does need fixing at Headingly

He will eat crap away from the club, but they all do. Only the likes of Sinny, peacock and now Donno are ultimate professionals off the field….,
Think he’s just been ridiculously unlucky but may still need to find a club at a lower level as we just can’t carry anyone right now….

So we add him to the list of tetavano and prior we should ship out at the end of the season. Just 3 proud to bring in to stay at 4 props, which no one thinks it's enough.

Personally I don't think we should get rid, but we need to complement with better players and spread the load

Think the lads supposed to be super talented too. Maybe 1 more years grace to see. Not many young forwards get nicknamed ‘the Tank’. Keep him on for that reason alone , intimidation factor !?

I have no inside knowledge but one thing struck me a while back. It was on a podcast or something about Brad Dwyer....he was struggling mentally and said something about he found it helpful when he made changes to really sort his physique......I remember being amazed that this isn't his mindset anyway

I know they aren't on millionaire money like Premiership footballers but they should be every bit as professional with every aspect of thier body/health.....no/minimum boozing, healthy diet away from the club....follow club's rehab advice on things etc

Watching Hurrel's physique change adds weight to my theory some of players aren't making enough of a commitment to this aspect (along with the ludicrous injuries and rehab times )

It all stems from the lack of S&C at the club. Loloeha & Hurrell come to the club overweight and neither lost it until they leave the club.

Think ploiner must not spend enough time in pubs or Kebab shops. He’d then understand why I said that!

At least Zak's arrival will help the squad see that they need to treat their bodies like temples

I've totally lost track of any timeline for players expected returns from injury. Hoping Rohan Smith benefits from the return of the likes of Myler, Fusitua, Sezer and Holroyd for the Salford game, but the club has been very quiet on this.

Speculation on my part but I think JJB had a different take on it that Agar. JJB has said numerous times that he doesn't believe in playing players who aren't 100% recovered, I think Agar thought differently so JJB doesn't seem to like giving precise dates/timelines.

I would suspect Myler might be earring fitness but with the other stuff going on might not be mentally right to return just yet.

If we can scrape a win on Friday, not rushing players back will have been 100% the correct decision IMO

Tend to agree, although JJB had the luxury of knowing his time in charge was going to be short, with expectations at an all time low. Agar ,on the other hand, had to cope with the week to week expectations of getting results at a club as big as Leeds. Wish I could be optimistic about getting the two points on Friday, but having seen the KR squad I fear it might be another chastening night for us.

But Agar also repeatedly said the same thing about not bringing players back too early.
