For me, one of the worst home shirts in quite a while

it's offensive

It must be catching, kit designers taken their eyes off the ball just like we've done on player recruitment/squad strengthening this off season (so far)

Let's hope those wearing it are more offensive too next year and get more points on the board!

I saw the 'reveal' this morning; a flash mob dance thing of young kids who then all took their hoodies off and JJB (as predicted) danced along with them.

It looked ok 'in the flesh' though the LBS logo does look incorrectly placed - this is mainly because the top 40% of the shirt is the lighter blue and then the yellow so visually it makes it look in the wrong place, even though it isn't.

Ronnie the Rhino had his tucked in, which made it look more in proportion and better. A lot of the kids were wearing tops that probably were a little bigger than was a good fit for them which won't have helped the 'look' of it. I got a picture that I can post if it would be use to anyone. Maybe some of the random people in it will be people you know!

Did anyone go up to HQ to get one?

Looking at the pics online and the one I took as well, I think the LBS logo itself doesn't help matters; it is not a 'balanced' logo in the sense that the logo, 'Leeds' and 'Society' all appear on the left-hand side of the shirt whereas on the right it only says 'society' so the left-side takes up more space on the shirt, whereas the right takes only one third. It makes the shirt look a bit 'twisted' in a sense - that you are wearing it at an angle so that most of the sponsors' details are on the left of the shirt.

On the training gear the LBS logo works a lot better as the actual logo is directly above 'Leeds' and then 'Building' and 'Society' are on separate lines so the whole thing is more symmetrical. I like it actually - it is just with the colour blocks and the LBS bit, it looks a bit like if you have worn a t-shirt to bed and wake up and it is half-twisted round your body pointing a different direction than it should.

Does the whole LBS bit make it look skew-iff when you handle / wear it?

Unfortunately that the 'reveal' was on live people moving around you weren't really able to have them in your hands. Or if you chose to, there were hundreds of police around so you could quickly have been getting a free ride in a white car or van!

Sort of looks like a sampler to decide which blue we wanted, did someone approve the wrong document? Looks good if you cover the bit above or below the amber hoops.

I think it's awful they've basically sewn the top half of a Rhinos shirt to an extended LBS logo imo!

I noticed that Leeds building society had changed their logo a few weeks back and worried that it'd make the kitkitlook a bit funny.

Funny would have been welcome compared to that monstrosity. Not a fan

I quite like it. Prefer it to the 2014 one.

Doesn't help sales much as I'm not really in the market for a rugby shirt. I need a wetsuit instead. But I still like it.

been on club shop and the cotton shirt with the collar isnt as bad so MAY opt for that one instead

No-one has mentioned that the new home shirt is JP's testimonial shirt and for that reason alone I think it's worth getting one.

It looks like they've run out of ideas maybe they should have reverted to traditional for a couple of years while they came up with something.Or like has been said maybe start a run of shirts from 1895 and onward heritage shirts. Im sure they would be popular

Presumably kit designs are copyright, so ISC for example couldn't just take a kit produced by a previous manufacturer and stick their logo on it?

Sure ISC did release a champions jersey in 2008 when they took over from Patrick iirc... The dark blue and amber piping one...

Yep had enough of ISC, not one shirt they have brought out has been much cop and this is the by the far their worst effort. Just seen the Saints kit made by O Neills and they look begrudgingly good.

The clubs will pick the designs, not ISC.

The club will give them a brief, i.e. we'd like a modern/traditional/retro shirt and ISC will come back with designs based on that brief.

The club will look at those and then make some tweaks/amends/back to the drawing board type comments and ISC will go away and do as they are told.
