I do. He was man of the match and apart from the half hour either side of half time our coach tied him up at dummy half you guys couldn't contain him.
Chase has some "wow" moments and some abysmal moments - passed to touch, knock on, passes to nobody. His wow moments are very good but he really needs to simplify his game to be an effective half back. Maybe it's not his fault and he has to do "too much" because of what's around him.

| Looking back at the game 24 hours later, it was a result, Leeds needed a win badly, it was not a great performance, but the youngest did well. It was the best performance of the last five games bar Manchester. Still a long way to go, but maybe the side has started to turn the corner and fresh blood in the team may be the way forward.

Why would he join St Helens when they already have the mark one version.

So what was your comment about Chase questioning McNamara then?
Best half back on the pitch last night was Burrow.'"
You talk about people having an agenda - Burrow did what Burrow does he runs sideways until he tackled - how many clean breaks did he make how many try assists did he produce? He produce the one for Keinhorst when he once again was running sideways. He stifles the attack in my view - the run under people doesn't work anymore.
Chase was head and shoulders above any of the half backs he did at least create stuff none of the other did.

| To be fair Sal Burrows short kick was perfect for Moons try.
As for the lay off for Keinhorst's try he was fed an awful pass stood still by Sinfield when he clearly wasn't meant to be receiving the ball so his only route was sideways in that instance and imo picked out Keinhorsts run spot on.
I much prefer Burrow at 7 or in a free role with Mcshane at 9 but i thought he had a much better game on friday night.

Game was over by then - I prefer McGuire 6 Burrow 7 Sinfield 13 McShane 9 - sadly that will never happen again. Burrow is better at 7 than 9.

My agenda is to get you to clarify what the hell you meant when you posted that Chase must question Mcnamara's sanity.
He made the clean break that set up the Minns try and, as has been pointed out, has an assist for Moon's try as well as Keinhorsts.
He won man of the match. When did our previous number 7 pick up that award?

Did you think he was MOM - I didn't Hardaker was miles ahead of anyone else. Shows that the MOM is decided by sponsors who attend one game a year.
Plenty of times during his career at Leeds as you well know. How many tries and assists has McGuire made in his career? As I stated previously I would prefer McGuire/Burrow at 6+7 and Sinfield at 13. If the captain decides where he is playing then the coach decides McGuire is preferable at 7 then you would support that decision given your use of to anyone who suggests they know better than the coach?
The point was the poor form Sinfield is currently showing, something you must agree with given your deflection to Burrow

| I thought Hardaker was MOM too. However,k Burrow had an excellent game and that he was in someone's thoughts for MOM shows the impact he had.
I agree that Sinfield has been in poor form this year.
Whoever he partners Burrow has to be at 7 because a) he is wasted at 9 and b) we finally get some pace in the halves.

Agree re Burrow at 7 he is not a 9 if we do sign Clark that will be an excellent piece of business by Hetherington

| Clark would be a very good signing for us.....unfortunately I can't see us 'outbidding' Warrington. With Higham and Monaghan both knocking on and the latter having injury issues I think the Wolves will go strongly for him.

never doubted sir kev as a player but becoming more and more evident that the short/flat and inside pass are what's stifling potentially the most dangerous backs in sl ,if only moon and Watkins had the same early ball and space an average player like wardle gets from brough

The wire are in a similar position to us, with several key players nearing the end of their careers. I think it's vital we sign Clark , for several reasons namely he is good young homespun player. Also it will show our commitment to remain in the top four teams. It's a danger not to replace major players, with the hope you can produce all your talent from within the club.
You can quite easily fall out of the top bracket if you get complacent, just look at saints.
We have been successful in the past with the signing of Ellis and Hardaker, if it comes to a choice between us and wire it will be interesting to see which club Clark will pick.

| Well, a 7 at 7 and a 9 at 9, an imaginative stroke of genius by the coach, who'd have thought of doing that?
But still I worry that it won't be different enough for him and he'll try something else again.
The area he should be focussing on right now is positioning the defence, communication of who's doing what and making the first tackle one that sticks rather than turnstiling.
And some back-up after a break through the line would be good.

Ellis I'll give you but Hardaker cost Leeds around £60K - sent straight back to Featherstone to continue his development and was an educated punt on a Championship level young player with the potential to make it in a full-time environment. So far it's been a wise investment.
Clark is somewhere in between those two - closer to Ellis that Hardaker. If I were Clark and had the choice I'd pick the club who I thought had the better coaching set-up that would allow me the opportunity to fight for a place on merit and fulfil my potential.
That club unfortunately wouldn't be Leeds at this present time.

....in [iyour[/i opinion.
Which is odd given the example of Hardaker who has really fulfilled his potential, going from a "championship level player" to an international with two Grand Final winners rings.
If I were Clark I might look at that. I might also look at Tony Smith's career history and wonder how much longer the Warrington coaching set up will remain in situ.

| What I find bizarre is that Burrow has been selected as the best starting hooker at Leeds for the past two seasons - except on those occasions when basically McGuire has been unavailable and Burrow has covered in the halves.
Hooker is a vital position in the modern game yet Leeds use it as the filler spot when injuries occur in the halves.

Castleford - the one he's currently contracted to.

I'm not sure about using it as a filler but I don't think the coach is 100% convinced by McShane or Hood for whatever reasons.
The loan and attempted signing of Lunt showed that last year.
