Even with the discount the tickets were still 4 quid more, if he was trying to fill the ground why not offer the 19 quid to everyone.

Hang on, I thought only the South Stand price was as a reward to loyal Hull fans? What about the rest of the ground? I'll say it again, why is the stand behind the posts, generally accepted as the "away stand", the most expensive stand in the stadium? Plus is it a reward/kind gesture or is it an attempt to get fans back? It can't be both.

I'm not hiding behind anything, I've already said on this thread that the strange pricing structure is just one of many reasons why I am not going.

Now I had this exact same arguement with my fellow FC fans about the pricing structure and a season long discount is not really a discount it's just the price for that season. However, I'm that sick of hearing away fans complain about it whilst also generally being derogatory about Hull and the FC fans that I just don't care anymore and think if that's your attitude I'm glad we're ripping you off. So now I'll join my fellow cod heads in telling you lot to grow a pair and stop looking for excuses not to attend. If you got off your lazy fat s and paid in advance you wouldn't be paying anymore than the majority of the home fans. But as it happens I'm more than happy for as few of you as possible to come and take the p1ss after you give us our yearly battering. It also makes it easier to bully you all in an intimadating fashion if your numbers are small so win win all round.

If this is your attitude to away fans at the KFC you lot are in a lot more trouble than you think, fans will start voting with there feet eventually. I go to every game every season home and away bar one or two ( holidays etc) and will always pay what is asked for. I will still be there on saturday no matter what price is being charged, but I wont be happy paying it.
As for being derogatory I was speaking from MANY personal experiences at hull, as most on this board are. If your club are intent on charging top whack prices they ought to look at providing a top whack experience.

I never had any intention of coming. I'm too apathetic about televised away games to care about pricing. Even more so if actually attending means suffering a trip into Hull.

Do you feel the same about Wigan and their policy of charging more for the away fan?

It's 20 quid in the DW less if you pay in advance. Plus it's a nice ground with lots of nice flags. You can also go for a drink before and have good natured banter without the fear of being beaten up.

Just a quick question - the people who set the price structure - do they have any previous experience in customer service with specific emphasis on how to retain casual customer loyalty ?

If I buy it in advance it's the same price as the home fans or if not its an entire pound more, meh. But Wigan haven't made the "away stand" the most expensive in the stadium have they? Why have Hull FC? No-one appears able to answer this simple question.

It's not the most expensive stand in the stadium unless you pay on the day, and then - in your own words - it's an entire pound more, meh.

The folk who run FC have identified that the club lives or dies on the strength of it's home crowds, not away fan numbers. These have always bordered on pitiful, with a few exceptions, regardless of pricing. Coupled with our user agreement - which limits what we can do regarding discounted tickets - the pricing structure has been set to try and convince home fans who drifted away under the last regime to return. It's a business decision, nothing more, and like any other business decision it's success or failure will become apparent when the figures are done at the end of the financial year.

So it is the most expensive stand in the stadium, which is bizarre with it being behind the posts. It is done to try and get extra cash from away fans, presumably to help subsidise the cheaper south stand tickets for home fans.

It's a strange system. If Hull wanted to incentivise home fans then they could make season tickets cheaper or do bring a friend for free schemes etc but deliberately increasing the price for away fans is a strange way of incentivising home fans. And away fans have every right to point out the unfairness of the pricing structure. Plus the ridiculous defence of everything & anything Adam Pearson does from Hull fans is frankly embarrassing.
