This is fundamentally but entertainingly off topic; we only started playing away from Headingley on Boxing Day every other year in the early '90s. So it's a small window of opportunity. I seem to recall in 94/95 we were home to Cas and in 93/94 we were at the Boulevard. So maybe one of the couple of years before that.

Thats really weird that. In 1996 the first Super League season started and kicked off in Paris on 29th March 1996 (16 years ago). This would have to mean that the game Big Brother refers to was a friendly. Now i can't find anywhere on the internet to suggest that Leeds ever played a friendly on Boxing Day away against Sheffield Eagles.
