When I lived in Liverpool, the place round the corner from me (owned by a real Turk from actual Turkey who took great pride in his work, did the most splendid kebabs. THey were entirely edible while sober, with a dizzying array of sauces and salad components. I'm getting a bit dreamy-eyed thinking about them now.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for saying "no" to racism, but when the Green Party sees that as their headline business, I can't help but feel that they've lost their way a bit.

Besides which a decent kebab (i.e not one from that place opposite the Grand Arcade) is a perfectly pleasant thing to eat. I have never examined a homeless man's body, but if they grow seasoned, slow-cooked lamb in a warm pitta with fresh salad and chilli and tahini sauces, they'll do for me. *drools*

Kebabs are great, ed or sober – in fact they fall in my top 10 foods and before I get the onslaught from the food snobs, also gracing the list would be Oysters Rockafella, un-pasteurised Roquefort and Provencal Veal (and a flame grilled double Whopper with cheese)
