We need a few lucky draws to be honest, being paired with any SL team home or away will be a mountain to climb on current performances. Can you get to Wembley without facing SL opposition?

We are pretty good on the injury front. Against Hudds we were without Ellis, Minichiello, Pryce, Washbrook and Tuimavave. I've not heard any news yet but I would expect a couple of those to return.

We still aren't firing on all cylinders yet. We have spells were we drift out of games, and then we flick a switch and are unstoppable for 20 minutes. Shaul is tearing it up, the pack are making yards for fun and Sneyd is starting to show why we forked out to get him here. Everything points to a Hull win, and yet I just cant allow myself to be confident. Its only a matter of time before you start to click.

We had 9 injured in the win over Warrington, and 5 or 6 out in the wins over Saints and Huddersfield. From the sounds of it, Ellis, Minichiello and Pryce could all be back - although if only 1 returns I hope it is Ellis. He is on a mission this season - the hits against Saints were relentless and we show a definite increase in intensity when he plays, which we will need on Friday. Still fancy you guys for the win. I will certainly fancy our chances more if hes not playing, although if he does play and isn't right that might be even more of an advantage. I've still spent far too many miserable nights on the west terrace to take anything for granted though.

If Hull don't win on Friday then they won't get a better chance.

I agree with what the other Hull fan said, everything points to an FC win, your injuries, apparent lack of leadership, our form. BUT, too many miserable rainy nights on The Western Terrace still leave that niggle that you guys will sneak it. McGuire not playing would be a huge boost for us as he's been devastating over the years against FC.

He's probably worried about Sneyd trying to finish the job he started last year and break his ankle with another crocodile roll.

Poor taste.

Leeds have scored only 156 points in SL, averaging less than 16 points per game. In last 2 games only scored 10 in each. Amazingly, Wigan have second lowest total with 186. hull are playing with lots of movement on attack added to their power, I can't see how Leeds can restrict hull to less than 20 and expect they will get well over 30. Therefore i am likely to bet big on hull. This may be the only way to get Leeds going this season, as whenever I do this it usually means Leeds produce an Unexpected display. If only 15 first teamers are available, Fc could get 50. Taylor and watts worry me as a platform, they are both young mobile and in case of watts have real pace. If they get on top with houghton, it could be grim.

I don't share your optimism. Too many false dawns. The pack has been pretty dominant in most games, even the Widnes debacle they were making yards. Bowden has also impressed this year.

Bowden is another one who I think could go far. I hope your forecast is correct. These days though we lack a bloke with a bent nose and protruding forehead to run the show on a wet night.

You are right about Taylor and Watts, but what has really improved for us this year is what happens when they come off. Last year Paea and Watts would set a platform but the replacements were pretty toothless. This year Josh Bowden has arguably outshone the two starters, and Chris Green has played his part too. That said if we rack up anything like 50 I'd be shocked. I'm expecting a tight one.

I am following many on here and trying to get my negative view in early doors. Leeds have to start playing better some time, but think we have planned to peak for the 8's. Unfortunately, it looks like being the wrong 8's. I predict Batley will see Leeds at their best in August and could kop for a real towelling.

Batley in August, why not, it's years since I have been to that ground. It will make a pleasant change to slogging over the hill to Wigan , saints etc etc.
