Just incase anyone wondered, Leeds Met brought it home for the 5th consecutive year, by about 40-14. The Leeds Met Second String also won the Second Tier competition, beating Hull University, and Leeds University won the third tier competition.

Quite suprised Leeds Met 1sts won by that scoreline.

Leeds Met 2nds and Uni of Leeds were both pretty much favourites for the other comps. Both highest ranked teams based on league rankings.

Aren't Lboro and Leeds Met pretty much the only "sports" Unis in the UK.

Thought Cumbria might sneak into 2nd tier final, very good side who dominated the league i play in with MMU. Thought we might have gotten a bit further in our cup but Edin Napier were too big for us, and all season we have been far too hot and cold.

I'm not sure how right it is that some teams apparently have academy products.

Met are light years ahead of anyone, and will be for sometime, standards are still improving across the board though.

Met seconds pulled through after an indifferent season for them, which didn't suprise me. Although I only recognised 2 or 3 players from the Hull Uni line up compared to when they played us (Leeds Trinity) in the Quarters, much less forward power.

Well done Leeds Uni on a great performance against Napier. They contained Giles Lomax very well.

Leeds Trinity play their final game of the season this Wednesday. A Premier North play-off final against liverpool Uni at Loughborough. I'm predicting a 30 point win for Trinity.

I find it fairly hard to believe that there were 14 changes in the Hull side from the quarter final, to the final. What was the Hull-TASC score?

Did you see Met 2nd's team for the final Matt?

Some quality players in it.

Hull won it 28-16. There pack was much smaller against Met 2s than against TASC though.

I hope Cumbria get promoted out of our league. Averaged like 50 points a game over past 2 seasons. Not sure how it works though as their is no promotion/ relegation based upon league standings.

Promotion/Relegation is usually depends on how Matt Jeffries is feeling on that particular day...

Not on the day of the final mate but watched them a couple of times this season. Plenty of lads in the second grade that will be able to step up to first team next year.
