As we get near the return of the great game, it is time to think which coach will bit the bullet first. Personally I think N Brown could be near the top of the list if Saints don't have a good start. Last year they sacked the coach that took them to the GF a few months earlier. they might be quite happy to go back to the acting coach's who did not do a bad job. Or will it it Be Gentle at Hull, they have spend a lot of money and if they don't get results will the board act. Or will GH patients wear thin with Brian Mac if we have have mid season like last year, with the South Stand calling for his head.

Anybody got any thoughts

Out of his depth and saved by a couple of shock wins when big clubs put out weakened teams last year IMO.

Ambitions seem pretty low at the moment so perhaps there'll be no sackings. Having said that, Sandercock's pretty much failed to light the touchpaper under HKR.

He's just extended his contract. If it wasn't for that he'd be my bet.

If Larvin takes over I'd say its an almost certainty. He'll probably want to end up coaching them himself.

Shaun Wane , If his tactical ineptitude isn't enough to get him the bullet , then his regular cringeworthy outbursts at various times of the season did him or the Wigan club no PR favours whatsoever .

The Wigan faithfull may enjoy his tubthumping style but it may not sit comfortably within his boardroom .

I don't know, but by April I fully expect this board to be hoping it's our Brian.

Brown will be fine for this race, provided somebody else has got the boot before August. He's a great coach for the first half of the season.

I'm not sure Betts looked out of his depth. His squad was basically a Championship squad with a couple of ageing or otherwise unwanted Aussies. I don't think he did too bad and they improved as the season went on. I'm not even sure this is the year to judge the Widnes project. See where they are in 2014. Not convinced anyone esle would be doing any better as things stand.

Wane will get binned if Wigan don't win anything this year, but somebdy else somewhere will have got the boot before then.

Millward and Anderson look the best candidates, but some other clubs having an unexpected bad start could change that.
