He was runner up for the top try scorer for the Warriors as well as being in the top three for try assists and line breaks. Again he led the way with metres, averaging 101.78m per game. He was once again named Supporters Player of the Year

Where has this come from?

If this is accurate then BJB goes to fullback and Hardaker on the wing with a new centre signing coming in. It has already been mentioned that Webb and Kylie might want to leave with 1 year remaining on their contracts so should not be such a surprise. It ties in with Gary H looking to recruit a player (who ever that is) who can make a difference.

Keep Hardaker at RC and BjB on the wing bring Smithy in at FB.

On the subject of the Warriors, rumours that Krisnan Inu will be gone by Round 1 of 2012 - worth a sniff to add some competition in the outside backs, regular NRL watchers?

This is possible but from what I've heard Smith is leaving but I suppose it might change.

Brent Webb in swap deal with Kevin Locke moving in the opposite direction.

I can't see why the Warriors would want Webb, they've got the incumbent NZ full-back in Kevin Locke already signed up until the end of 2013.

To be fair, given McLennan's record on recruitment and retention at Leeds that's not as ludicrous as it sounds...

If there's even a grain of truth in the OP's allegation (I think that's a more appropriate term in this particular instance) then McClennan must be taking after his legendary father in the drinks stakes. We'll even swap Burrow for Shaun Johnson if he wants too



Inu? Quality player on his day but rather injury prone. More importantly, I'd also have an issue with his mindset and commitment. His career appears punctuated with being omitted from squads at both Parramatta and NZ Warriors and it's not always clear as to the reasons why, apart from personal reasons. He even bailed out of the current Kiwi squad within hours of being selected after the late withdrawals of Johnson and Vatuvei.

When he is good he is very good but he is inconsistent better attacker than a defender but a talent for sure

I too can find no reference to this anywhere, but I did find this on Big Pond Sport:

...which makes me wonder why they'd want to sign Webb.

Cannot see why Webb would be wanted by warriors. For me if this does happen, leave BJB and hardaker where they are, centre and wing and give smith a stab at FB

No idea. Again smith rumour could be more to do with the off season. Personally wouldn't want him to leave, and hope he stays and fights for a spot

RE-Smith it just sounds to me like the Mcshane one earlier in the season when he was dropped some putting 2 + 2 together and getting 7.

Perhaps seeing as Hohaia is already signed to Saints they have used him to bring Locke on whilst protecting their youngster from burn out. Maybe Webb would be used the same way.

I like Smith and would love to see him get the full back spot should others leave.

I hope that Smithy stays and fights for his spot as there's still a very talented player in there without a doubt

He needs flogging in the pre-season in order to get him back into his best physical shape though, as he has looked a pale shadow of his former self since his return from the "Kick and Clap" brigade
