I am very proud of the team today, we put in a great effort and although we didn't get the result we should all be pleased with the performance.

We gave wigan one heck of a game in the 2nd half. To fightback from such a deficit on this occasion, against the best team in super league shows the immense determination and character of this team. For that, we should all be thankful.

I hope none of our players or officials mention a word about any 50/50's. Wigan scored more points, and for that, deserved to win.

One thing I'm proud of is when we win, players like sinfield show a tremendous amount of dignity and class. The same in defeat.

I think a certain individual could learn from that today.

After the shocking opening 25 minutes we were bleedin excellent, we came alive and were unfortunate not to win IMHO. Credit Wigan, they are an excellent side and you cannot afford to give them a 16 point start. We might not be completely finished yet, if we can keep that level of intensity up we will give anyone a fright. Proud of the lads and not gonna b1tch and moan about ref's calls.

As I stated elsewhere ...it was great to see, but I expected it today. Just hope they can do it more often. Winning the CC would have resulted in a weak showing in the play offs I believe.

My hope is that now they will raise their performance levels to this same extent.... and go all the way to a winning performance in the GF.

I thought after 20 minutes it was going to be a whitewash, i was wrong and when you guys finally woke up were easily the best team, but the Charnely incident killed you off, the fact your pack were pointing to the screen at the blatant error and Bentham ignored it showed an arrogance beyond even that of Tomkins. He gave credit to Wigan and refused to make any comments about refereeing decisions despite being drawn by the interviewer, "what's the point" was his response. He thought we conceded "soft" tries which didn't help. His main comments were in support of the Leeds players and what he thought was disrespectful treatment of them by the press prior to the game (I don't read newspapers so I don't know what that was all about but the guys in the BBC studio understood very well what he meant). It wasn't a rant, but he was also keen to point out that people (and I don't think he meant fans here) who thought this squad lacked commitment and passion were dead wrong.

It was disrespectful, he's spot on. Comparisons were made by some fans and the media to the Sheffield Eagles final in 98. Mentioning this side, the majority of which has taken part in 3 Grand Final wins, in those terms is plain daft to be honest

As an FC supporter frankly today I didn't want either side to win but I have to congratulate the Leeds team on their performance after an opening 20 minutes which looked like a walkover.

Unfortunately Brent Webb was a disaster waiting to happen - the guy has just lost it - but I was mightily impressed by the response of the Leeds team, particularly as some of your leaders - notably Sinfield and Peacock - were so poor. For me Ablett and Delaney were outstanding and, like Hull in 1985, you played your part in a great final.

I have too many memories of losing at Wembley but at least your players were a credit to your club and supporters.

As a Warrington supporter I would dispute that statement. Currently we have won more games, scored more points for and had less point scored against us. After next Sunday it may be a different story but till then.............

Firstly, i would like to say that Leeds were very unlucky on saturday and the game could of gone either way. We got lucky a couple of times but thought we very marginally shaved the game tbh. you should all be proud of the massive effort your lads put in.



This however is not the reason for my post. I have read all the accounts of fans having problems with other fans and i wanted to address the issue. I was sat in the wigan end block 130. Behind me was a family of 4 or 5 leeds fans. Amongst them there was a bloke and his wife and their 18 yr old son. What an absolute credit to the leeds club they were. we chatted during the game, and shared the ups and downs of an enthralling match. They stayed until the cup presentation and shook our hands as they left.

This is the memory i will have of the cup final. Well done to them whoever you are, and well done leeds!

As a proud Wire fan for many years and a neutral on Saturday i was embarrased at the performance of Bentham. Unlucky Leeds, nothing went your way from the Merry Warrington whistle blower.
