=#0080FFVery tough morning for us Cas fans but I just wanted to say that I thought Sinfield was a class act at the end of the game yesterday. He didn't jump around celebrating and he even stated that he thought Cas were the better side in the post match interview which I thought was very gracious. He did the same back in 2009 when you beat us in the rain with that last second penalty.
I have a lot of respect for him and he's a credit to your club.
I thought your fans were very humble after the game too, it was a cracking match. Congratulations on getting to the final.

kevin is a smashing lad i'm fortunate enough to know a real good mate of his and have sat in his company many times he is an example to players young and old on how to conduct yourself on and off the field of play, he may not be the greatest player to have ever played for the club but he is certainly the greatest leader our great club has ever had.

For those 2 kicks - he was the right man for the job. You knew he would slot them over and some. Just the fact that people have that much faith in Mr Cool speaks volumes for Sir Kevin Sinfield. His focus when he lines up those kicks and goes through his drill are amazing, to see that level of composure in the context of the game. Legend.

To land that type of conversion (off the wrong side for a right-footer) in that intense pressure situation (last few minutes of a Challenge Cup semi-final) once in a career would be amazing.

He's right up there with Frano Botica as the greatest goal-kicker I've seen.
Rugby league has had no greater ambassador.
He is a truly modest, humble man whose demeanour at the end of yesterday's game was a testimony to the man.

On a serious note...
If the lass that won Gold at the Olympics for sliding down a hill on a tea-tray can get an MBE for "Services to Sport" then surely Super League's all time leading points scorer, only Captain to lift the trophy 4 times, etc etc etc, surely that's more a "service to sport" than doing REALLY WELL at just one competition?

If the SL Supermen programme was correct he is the only captain ever in RL to lift 4 championships. |
