well unless he doesn't have a contract yet for next year, and we've told him we won't renew, I don't see how he won't have a choice in the matter.

I was meaning he only had a contract for next season and IF he's already been told that next year is his last with Leeds someone like say Salford or Bradford may have dangled a 2/3 year contract in front of him and players coming to the end of their careers at a certain club need to consider the financial merits of having a longer contract, so who knows.

Maybe someone has asked Leeds about his availability and maybe Leeds are prepared to listen to offers/ release him from his last year of hiscontravt to free up cap money for other positions???

Hopefully there's nothing in it as I would like to see Matt finish his career at Leeds but eveyone has their shelf live as they say

In all honesty i'd look to keep him he's got at least another 3/4yrs left in the tank and i think it'd be a mistake if the club sacrifice that for 1 more yr from Buderus.

I think it would be a bit silly to let Disco go with Danny having one year on his contract left he's not guaranteed to extend it another year there after and lets face it we don't move with speed when it comes to replacing players.

Personally I do think when we took his number off him Disco was just hitting form again and this little upset did knock the lads confidence slightly too. Sometimes its better the devil you know than the devil you don't. I hope he stays but gotta admit his tweet could mean he maybe be moving too. Good luck to the lad if he doe's.

I have pointed out in several different threads in the last few months that Matt Diskin is defaintley leaving us at the end of this season! Buderus is on a two year contract despite YEP saying its only a 1 year deal, with Bedsy moving into a player coaching role in 2012, Leeds put Liam Hood on a fulltime contract for the next 3 seasons last month which is yet to be announced, and have been told from someone inside the club that its Diskins final year this year. Hence the reason weve got McShane to step up once Diskin leaves at end of 2011 and Hood to replace Buderus in 2012.
