I'm not saying it's never happened but I can't think of any if it has.

Seems more like a line that get's trotted out to try to influence/deter players (and clubs - where they get involved) from exercising that option.

As ever at Leeds the decision on whether to appeal will be left to the player involved.

I seem to recall bans being increased. I also seem to recall it happening to Harvey Howard but a) Can't remember who he was playing for at the time and b) May have dreamed it anyway.
