| This is going to be another difficult game, Hull are another team this year who have improved, a win here would give us confidence for the big challenge cup game the week after.
Does anyone know how long Peacock, Eastwood and Donald will be out for?

Did you not watch yesterday?
Kirke's had some dissapointing games this season, but yesterday highlighted just why he should not be in the team. You can't keep producing crap like that and still be in the side.

Aye Kirke is just producing crap week after week. Even when he gets put in an open area he doesn't have any footwork to take advantage of it which is not good enough for Leeds Rhinos. Yesterday he had a lot of room out wide with Senior and Hall along side him, instead of using some skills to draw in Casey McGuire and send Senior and Hall on their way he just decided to run it in straight forward and take the tackle. Typical of Kirke, just a basic rugby from him time and time again. If Ali, Eastwood, JJB or Ablett was in the same position you can almost guarantee they would have taken advantage of the situation.

| I think we will go to your place confident if not expectant. We have played reasonaly well so far with a couple of exceptions, however, our away form is patchy at best and Sean Long will be a doubt. We were without Fitzgibbon, Tickle, Horne, Briscoe, Lauaki and Calderwood yesterday and lost Long after 15 minutes and were right in it until about 12 minutes to go so we've got to take heart from that. Of those missing Fitz, Horne, Lauaki and Briscoe are expected to return against you. If we start well and our pack get on top we are very capable of getting a result, however we don't seem to all that good at chasing games so if you get in front early we might struggle. I'd like to see us line up with:
Tansey
Hall
Yeaman
Briscoe
Whiting
Turner
Horne
O'Meley
Berrigan
Cusack
Manu
Burnett
Fitzgibbon
Moa
Lauaki
Dowes
Houghton

That's my worry for the next two games, IMO our backs are far better and if we had Peacock & Eastwood to match the Hull pack I would have a lot more confidence but without them It could be like the Bulls first half if we are unable to make any yards.

| Is Jay Pitts injured?
I would have played him instead of Kirke yesterday.
We might need Kirkes size against Hull this weekend though.
Lets just hope he decides to use his size to it`s full potential.
IMO we need quick PTB and move the ball out wide every opportunuity to beat Hull this Sunday.

| I would play pitts instead of kirke, but I think that size is not everything, just because kirke is fairly big doesn't mean he will add more than a smaller guy with a bit more about them

And what do we do with him?
Hall & Smith can do everything Donald can
Smith will not get a go in the centres with Delaney & Senior (maybe if Senior doesn't improve but I think he will)
Webb is a better fullback than Smith
Tough choices but a good problem to finally have competition for places

| With Buderus back after being rested, I can see us going back to McGuire at 6, Burrow at 7, Sinfield at 13. Have a feeling that Ambler will be out of the squad with Jay Pitts returning.
Webb
Smith
Delaney
Senior
Hall
McGuire
Burrow
Leulaui
Diskin
Bailey
Jones Buchanan
Ablett
Sinfield (c)
Subs:
Buderus
Lauitiiti
Pitts

| I wonder whether Lauitiiti will start?
To have him in the run out side is good - he's an instant threat is Ali but he might be needed for impact.

Stopping fishing around, you cant go up against a team like Hull with a bench like that, their players are way to strong. I hope the players look at Leuaki before playing against him because he will be strong at their plaice and ours.

| I think we may see a little shuffle of the pack again.
Maybe Diskin or McGuire rested.
Would be happy to see Kirke given a 'breather' too.
Ambler looks very hungry, and looks to take on work

Did you see them against HKR? I don't think their pack is all that special, some big names like Fitz and Shrek in there but they looked average against HKR. Lauaki is a big guy but didn't make much ground against HKR and was a penalty machine, Ali and Bailey will do a sound job winding him up. Catalans have one of the meanest packs in SL and we still won the forward battle imo. Hull look vulnerable on the outside and thats happens to be our strongest area recently.

| We've got a fair few injuries starting to build up. I'd expect to see Long, Calderwood and Fitzgibbon all missing with Richard Horne, Tickle and Lauaki playing injured.
